So we are booked to stay at the pop but I wanted to see if maybe one of the others would be a better option.

Our group......

Partner and I - we have done sports and music
Son 4 - did sports at age 2
Baby - first trip
Relative age 7 - first trip and it's a surprise

We will be driving to parks each day due to strollers and stuff so bus sharing is not an issue.

Should we stay with the pop or do you think one of the others would be better with the kiddos.

I really don't think there's enough of a difference between the values to matter. I've stayed at all four and the only real difference is what giant icon you see.

So I'd just stick with POP since you're already reserved there.

We loved Pop. The younger kids will love it there. But the 7yo may love All Star Music better because of the awesome pool side activities and movie under the stars by the pool. :goodvibes

Have you considered an All Star Music Family Suite? It's still affordable in price and comes with a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, living room that transforms into a bedroom, and another separate bedroom.

It might be great for you since you are traveling with 5 people, including a baby :)

Ditto this.

I might give a slight edge to Sports because it's compact so not too much walking within the resort when you have a wee one with you.

Though I predict POP will win this thread by a landslide because I've noticed there are a lot of POP diehards on this board.

I stayed at ASMu a few years ago and liked it. Is it the only value resort that offers movie under the stars by the pool?

DH and I just returned from 9 nights at Pop. It was our 4th time there and we still love it. I don't have any details because it was not something that we were interested in, but I did see them setting up for a movie by the main pool. They were setting up an inflatable screen and people were already sitting in the chairs that had been placed in front of the screen.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Depending on what time of year you go they are opening the art of animation value resort. Everything will be fresh and new. Otherwise Pop sounds like fun! (I haven't stayed there)

Love POP. We have been there several times. We enjoyed the food court and pools. :goodvibes

Thanks. We did look at the family suites but they were still 700 more than the pop. Wouldn't be too bad but we are covering all the costs for the relative so I want to stay on budget. It would be a great option though to give us some privacy and keep the older two asleep when the baby cries but it's a big difference.

Thanks again.

Since you've already been to an All Star, I think you should stick with Pop. I've stayed at Pop and ASSp and liked both. Pop feels a little more energetic, if that's the right word. Great place to stay for the Disney feel. Being close to a lake is nice; adds something extra.

The food court is really good with a lot of variety, although it can get busy and hectic at times. Because of how it's arranged, no location is too far away from the food court.

We were on the 1st floor near Roger Rabbit and the computer pool (80's section). We were not bothered by noise.

They didn't have it when we were there about a year ago, but I've read they now have movies each night around 8 pm.

Have a great time.

I agree....for our January trip we decided to stay an extra 3 nights (staying BCV the first 3 nights), but in order to do that we would have to stay at a Value Resort. I looked at all of them and decided that it came down to Pop and ASMovies. I decided that Pop would be a better fit for my family because my kids are 8 and 10 and I think they would get a kick of the icons there rather than some of the icons at Movies. Have a great trip :goodvibes

I'm normally a Polysnob... but I have stayed at Pop twice and enjoyed my stays there. I would keep the Pop res.

We just got back from 10 nights at Pop and loved it! this was our first trip, so I can't comment on the other value resorts, but we really enjoyed our stay at Pop. We had connecting rooms as there were 7 of us. All of our kids, ages 13, 11, 9 and 4, loved Pop. They had a ton of poolside activities that my kids loved, ,especially my 11 yr old, and they had movies every night as well. We watched Tangled one night and the kids thought it was so cool that they could run into the food court and grab drinks and snacks as it was so close to where the movie was being played. We stayed in the 60's section, building 4 and it was super close to the bus area and food court. Have a GREAT trip!!

we have stayed at POP and ASMUS ...we liked both but did find ASMUS much quieter...
