I did this a few months ago -- it was really cool. A tourist gimmick, yes, but I really liked it nonetheless. I'm planning to do it again when we go back next year -- DH said I should get a pearl on every WDW vacation

I got a necklace, with the pearl in a little cage. It's sterling silver. They had a wide selection of choices for settings, with a wide selection of prices. Mine was only about $50 for the pearl and the setting.

This is one of my favorite souvenirs.

My SIL did this and loved it. She took the pearl by itself and had a jeweler put it in a setting with diamonds when she returned home and it was much cheaper. Every time she wears it she says she thinks of DW
