I know there are some huge threads already regarding pick a pearl, but I really don't want to read through them all for one little answer. Is there a list of which colors are the most and least rare?
I ask because I picked 2 for my wife last week. The first was 7.25 mm goldish one. The 2nd was a 7.75 mm bluish/silver (almost but not quite black) one. The 2nd one the girl made a big deal about. She looked excited once she saw it and hid it from and had me guess the color.

bluish/silver is the chocolate pearls apparently not as commun but I'm having doubts. While there 2 out of my 3 girls picked one and they made a big deal out of it saying it was rare.

The 2nd one is rare. What's goldfish colored? ***update..note to self..do not read posts on the Dis when you are tired and not feeling well.***. :)

I think black is the most rare then blue then pink then white/cream. I got 2 blues in one oyster and they made a big deal about it. Right before a little boy got 2 pink ones and he asked what was rarer and they said my blue ones. I actually liked the pink better:)

I've gotten 2 nice white ones (meh), but my friend's pick was a big silver blue one. She got more drumming than me..but the girl opening the pearls was more impressed that I could count backwards in Japanese.

I got a couple of blue silver ones i love when they make a big deal about

I've never done the pick a pearl at Disney, but I've been to several pearl parties here at home.. and I've gotten probably 6 black/blue pearls, and seen quite a few others. They do say that they are more rare, but I've only seen one or two pink ones... I'd rather have the pink!

Black is the most rare. They apparently come for a specific type oyster. Second would be shades of blue. So, you got some nice pearls!

The blue/blacks seem to be more mentioned as rarer, but I've only ever seen one green one picked, and it got a lot of attention. More so than I saw for a set of twin blues that got picked a few minutes earlier. The green was intense, like a silver-mint green.

The girls really liked a pair of same-sized pearls that I pulled from separate oysters last week. They were probably what you would call 'goldfish' colored, as they had a dark gold tinge, but definitely not yellow.

I also got a bluish/gray that they made a bog deal about, while in Epcot @ Japan.

I always have to pick a pearl whne we go...it's become an addiction! :happytv:

Anyways, I have only gotten white since then , although, in SeaWorld, I did it as well, and got twins....Now I have earrings :goodvibes

Can't wait to do it again in may for my birthday!

Hoping for a black or pink one!!

ooohhh...I would just LOVE a green one!!! I've never seen a black/blue one get picked and we visit every trip. My daughter and I have gotten white ones. They're pretty and we like them, plus it really is a very memorable souviner.

I got a fairly large very dark grey when we were there last. I had it made into a ring while we were there and it barely fit the ring setting. I'm hoping to find another grey one while we are there in November to make into a necklace.

I chose a gold one - sort of a medium goldish colour not yellow. The girl said the colour is not too rare, BUT, is rare for their oysters. They only see a handful of goldish coloured ones a month!

My 8 year old daughter picked two blue pearls last month. One in Japan and one at Beach Club. Both locations made a big deal of it. I would stay away from beach Clubs they are more expensive on price on everything!!!

I have a 7mm cream colored one on my necklace DH got our 1st anniversary in WDW then last yr he picked two and got 8mm gold ones I had earring made.

This yr Id like to get the bluish or pinkish one for a ring.. Maybe an 8mm also? LOL
