This may have been covered but the FP + threads are so long and many i haven't read them all so i'm sorry if this has already been covered. When you book your fast passes make sure you book all 3 at the same time. My step daughter booked for our group and only booked 2 fast passes one day because she wasn't sure what she should book for the 3rd FP. She assumed she could go back on line the next day to book the 3rd but we found out we can't. When we went to book the 3rd for that day we discovered we would need to cancel all our fast passes for that day and start from scratch or we wouldn't be able to book the 3rd fast pass for that day. One of our fast passes that day is Toy Story M which is hard to get so we don't want to cancel in fear of not being able to get Toy Story M. back. So the day we do the Studios we're stuck with just have two fast passes until we use both and Toy story isn't until the evening. So don't make the mistake we made, book all 3 fast passes at the same time on each day you tour, use it or lose it.

Interesting...when I went to make my FP+ pre-bookings, the system didn't give me the option to select only two. Even if I only selected one attraction, the system automatically added two other attractions, so I had to take three. I wonder if your step daughter had gone to one of the in-park kiosks, maybe the CMs there could have helped her select a third FP+. The in-park kiosk CMs seemed have access to some features that the app/online did not.

You can choose UP TO 3 selections, but they will automatically fill whatever requests you don't fill yourself. See below as I selected IASW and Thunder Mnt but they added Little Mermaid for me.

Unless they've changed the proceedure since September (who am I kidding, it's Disney, of course they probably tinkered with it!) we were able to go in and modify separate FP+ attractions without having to cancel all of them. IIRC I went to the FP+ list and clicked on "change my experience" or something to that effect, and picked which persons to change or just all of us. There was also a button on each to just change the time but keep the same attraction too. Of course some did not have open slots, but just looking did not change my confirmed FP+ until I clicked to confirm any changes.

Yes, we did get a 3rd FP+ show up when we only wanted two for that day, but it was easy enough to modify the 3rd one either online or at the park kiosks for whatever was left. When we really wanted just 2 we would make the 3rd as an early a.m. throwaway, then could pick a 4th in the parks. Some days even after the FP+ time had passed on our throwaway one it showed up to exchange at the park kiosks since we hadn't used it, other days it didn't show up after our time slot had passed.

You can change the experience of the 3rd one, you don't have to cancel them all. If the time isn't right, then change the time first and then the experience (typically when you change the experience it picks the same time). I was there 3 weeks ago, I was able to change the experience the same day (but not on the real popular ones).

The issue isn't that we want to change a 3rd FP, the issue is a 3rd FP was never booked and the system won;t let us add a 3rd FP that day without canceling the two we have booked and starting fresh. Unfortunately the system didn't automatically add a 3rd FP for us so we only have 2 that particular day. We booked on line as our trip isn't for a few weeks yet. I chatted with a cast member and they told me that unfortunately the way the system is right now we simply can't add the 3rd FP without canceling our existing 2 and starting from scratch. My wife told me that if we CALL a cast member might be able to add a 3rd for us however some cast members know how to do this and some don't. My goal for this thread is simply to warn people not to make the same mistake we made. When you book your FP's on line book 3 for your day regardless if you really want them. THEN you can always change any of the pre booked FP's if something you want comes available.

I've read other people were able to call Disney IT and get a third one added if you want to try that
