If u had to pick just two adrs for a family with a 7 and 9 year old girls that are casual What would you recommend?

Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios

CRT = Cinderellas royal table.

HV = Hollywood and Vine. They have two different sets of characters. Breakfast and Lunch is the playhouse disney characters while dinner is Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, and Donald.

Which 2 to pick depends on who your daughters like. Chef Mickeys have Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. You could also do Ohana breakfast which is Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

If you can I would do a Pre Park Opening breakfast at Crystal Palace which has Winnie the Pooh characters. We just did this last week. It was awesome walking down main street with not many people there. We got great pictures in front of the castle. Definitely should try and book this one.

If you're looking for casual I would do a quick service lunch at Be Our Guest. It still requires a reservation, but isn't as formal as dinner- not that anywhere at Disney is overly formal.
Our kids also love Sci-Fi at DHS. Burgers and shakes sitting in cars at an indoor drive-in theater. Great theming.
I agree with PP that a pre-park opening breakfast is great. We like Crystal Palace, too. Another option is Garden Grill at Epcot. Getting in the park at 8am is beautiful and you're set up to miss the rope drop crowd.

Only two with kids, I'd pick Crystal Palace at opening for breakfast (pooh, piglet, tigger, eyeore..decent breakfast food buffet...and great pictures in the morning on Main Street...plus quicker access to rides in the morning when the park opens) and Sci-Fi Dine-In if you are going to Hollywood Studios because the theming is really fun and you said "casual." They have shakes and burgers so if your kids are picky or whatever. It can be a lunch or dinner reservation. If you do dinner you can schedule it at the right time and go watch Fantasmic afterwards.

For kids that age, I'd go to 1900 Park Fare (hilarious characters, plus family photo is included) and Crystal Palace (good food & photo opps). When my kids were that age, we went to a lot of buffets! Next 2 choices would be Raglan Road (river dancing) and Biergarten (oompah band & dancing).

These days, I choose based on the food for the adults, not necessarily the atmosphere. Nearly every restaurant has a fun, unique vibe so your girls are bound to enjoy it no matter what. Most of the kids' menus are the same, too. The adult entrees are so different, our ADRs mean choosing based on what looks good to eat!!

can I book adrs for the next couple days and just cancel them until we decide for sure?

You have until the night before to cancel an ADR without paying the no show fee. Except for CRT and some other specialty dining. CRT must be paid in full in advance and has a 2 day cancellation policy.

so i wont get charged if I book more than I want today and then finalize later tonight with my wife?

As long as your trip is more than 2 days away, no charge. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to book 2 ADRs within a close timeframe (I think it's 2 hrs). I usually don't cancel until closer to our trip, because sometimes park hours change and it throws off our plans.

Tusker House breakfast at Animal Kingdom (my absolute favorite) and probably Via Napoli at Epcot or 'Ohana at the Polynesian.

Akershus at Epcot for breakfast with the Princesses.

Raglan Road in Disney Springs for Irish food, live music, and step-dancing.

Tusker House in Animal Kingdom for more exotic food and meeting Donald, Daisy and friends.

It depends on which park you'll be in (all theme park restaurants welcome casually dressed patrons, fyi):

Magic Kingdom: Cinderella's Royal Table (Cinderella's castle, featuring lots of princesses), Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast's castle), or Crystal Palace (Victorian architecture and Winnie the Pooh characters)

Epcot: San Angel Inn (in the Mexico pavillion, next to indoor water feature and view of Mayan pyramid) or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Norway themed, featuring princesses)

Hollywood Studios: Sci-Fi Diner (simulated drive-in theater)

Animal Kingdom: Tusker House (African themed buffet with Mickey and the gang)
