I want to take DD10 to dance at PI. Can she get in? Do you think Í'm crazy to do that? I wanted to have a mother and daughter get together, since I'm just 20 years older than her and she always say that I'm like her girlfriend because I'm so much younger than the other moms...
I don't wanna be irresponsible though, and let her up too late. I just want to stay a little bit there so we can dance a little and have some fun... I think that will be such a cherish moment to remember later ...
What do you think?

Sorry but I don't think they'll let her in even if she's with you. The clubs don't start opening until around 11pm I think. And after that you need a wrist band to get into the clubs. Because alcohol is available outside of the clubs I don't think they'd let her into any of the clubs.

Have you been there before? When we went to WDW last year we didn't go but heard lots of things from other friends about it. You have to remember this is a CLUB, you know a bar. I can't imagine taking a 10 year old somewhere there are twenty somethings that are drinking and bumping and grinding. Have you seen the way some people dance in clubs these days? It's like sex while your dressed. I have a 10 year old and I am only 34 (a young on at that) myself. If I wanted to have a mother daughter experience with her I would make sure it was age approiate. Don't they grow up fast enough anyways?

Sorry if this sounds harsh but it's just my opinion!

I think the OP would get friendlier opinions if she were to suggest buying refillable mugs on Ebay, taking them with her to WDW and poolhopping to SAB while staying at POP just before going to watch the fireworks from the Poly beach.

PI is definitely NOT a place for a mother/daughter get-together when the daughter is 10 years old. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique is more age appropriate for a 10 year old girl. PI is one big nightclub with free flowing alcohol, often very drunk and foul-mouthed patrons, and not the place to find moments to cherish with one's 10 year old daughter.

We went three years ago when my dancing daughter was 7. We went right at opening (7pm), went to 8-trax (I think that is the name) first. DD and I danced--in the first few minutes we were there, there we only two other people in there, and they weren't dancing. One lady came in, scantily dressed, and dancing somewhat inappropriately with her SO (she was no young chickadee, either). I kept DD's back to her, and we left shortly after.

We went to the Adventurer's Club (loved it), and the first comedy show (there were other kids there) and were off the island before 10 when the minions of the devil began to pile in.

Sorry, I haven't seen all the rampant crack-smoking, potty-mouthed, fornicating-in-the-streets crowds that everyone around here seems to run into, at least before 10pm. We saw nothing worse than you would see at our average family wedding reception.

I was there when I was 15 and I remember there were some places where teenagers could get in... I don't know if they sold alcohol that night, mainly because I didn't try to buy. And that's due to the principles my parents taught me... They didn't allow me to have alcohol beverages by that time, so I just didn't try. I just wanted to dance and have some fun... But there were other 15 years old kids in my party ( I went with the school group)and I'm sure that if they were selling alcohol, the other kids would have tried to buy...
It's this kind of place I wanted to take her ... Not the adults only place...
I didn't see many ten years old there the day I went, but there were bunchs of kids my age...Around 14, 15...
Do you know if there are still places like that one there?

Last time I went to PI it was filled with college/high school kids (I guess its their only club around the area?) But most of the people who dance/go to comedy clubs there are not resort guests and are stumbling around, bumping people, knocking people over and getting rowdy. The parking lot is hell after 10, people speeding around, doing wheelies, absolutley no control by disney whatsover. I wouldnt recommend going there with your dd10, the "magic" is just not there like the parks/resorts.

Ok ! I made my mind! I'm going to take a walk at downtown disney, have some fun at Disney Quest and eat at rainforest cafe!
What about now? Suitable for a ten years old?
