I am looking at doing a PI or Management Internship next fall and I am wondering how the Maingate works. Is it the same as the CPs get (6 days for 3 people) or is it different due to it being a different type of position? What are some of the other differences between discounts?

It depends on the Disney Profesionnal Internship opportunity.

Most Florida-Site Disney Professional Internships are classified as Hourly Casual Temporary Office & Technical positions, and receive the same Blue Main Entrance Passes as other Florida-Site Casual Temporary Cast Members and other Disney Internships and Programs Participants.

California-Site Disney Professional Internships Participants are issued Main Entrance Passes in accordance with the established guidelines of the Disneyland Resort.

Disney Professional Internships Participants in Management positions on both coasts are classified as Salaried Cast Members and receive a Silver Main Entrance Pass, which allows unlimited uses throughout the year (subject to Blockout Dates). In addition, as Salaried Cast Members, they also receive a 35% Discount at all Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Merchandise locations.

Management Interns at WDW no longer receive Silver Maingate Passes. I think they did away with this a couple years ago. MI's now receive the Blue Maingate Pass as any seasonal/cp/pi would. Unless they changed something since my MI ended in June.....
