Ok I'm considering applying for a PI for this next fall in Guest Relations, and I know I'll get a lot of bad comments about this, but I'd like a legit answer please, I just want to know if any PI in the past has been drug tested during their check-in day at Casting?

I seriously doubt they do drug testing the day of check in, I've never heard of that happening. But anyone that drives a tram or any other mode of transportation I believe must get a drug test. That being said, they can ask for any CM to be drug tested any time they'd like. You can get terminated for illegal drug use, so if you do decide to use anything while on any of the Disney internships, do so wisely or just abstain during the internship and do whatever you'd like while you're back home.

If you are in any way directly responsible for the safety of guests, you probably have to take a drug test. i.e. driving a vehicle, a boat, etc.

I would also doubt they were do a drug test on check-in day... in my experience drug tests are usually done by giving you a form and a list of locations and you are expecting to show up at one of them in the next 48 hours and get the test. That is how my tests worked (I have had to do two for different jobs). Although my current company can also ask that I be tested at any time I have never heard of them actually requiring anyone to be tested after that initial one. (I think its more of if the suspect you are using then you would be asked, I don't think they do random ones)

Nope, they pull you right at casting.

Would you consider Guest Relations a position that is directly involved with guest safety? Im still looking but Guest Relations is my #1.

No, guest relations is not directly involved with safety. But that's not to say you won't get tested upon the casting fingerprinting/forms/direct deposit process like other people have reported. I thought I commented on this, but maybe I never hit "post". Would it kill you to at least give it up a month prior to going down (should you get accepted)? I'm not being a jerk, I'm just trying to help you around this lol.

Does anyone have a listing or know where a listing can be found of available PIs that are available each year?

I have to ask: why?

The last time this question was asked, TikiStitch was correct:

Honestly, if you are in a position to safely handle guests experience, don't do it. If you're looking for a role with guest interaction, just avoid it if the program/internship is your interest.

The Disney Careers site is going to be your best resource for the Internships. I would recommend doing a search for any specific Internships you are interested in as well.

Have a Magical Day! :smickey:
