In order to prepare for the development of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5, DH's office is given the 'opportunity' to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 (non-retail package, they're actually on CD-R) for US$20 including shipping up to 10 copies (well, because we have 10 users in our office).

This is what they call to be "Unlimited Trial Copy". I can't register, I can't get tech support, but all the functions are there.

Should anybody interested in this thing, PM me. (I'll just ask Adobe Canada to ship it directly to you instead of to DH).

Even though I won't be taking you up on it, I just wanted to say thanks for the offer.

Anybody with PSP X, Photoshop CS2 will have ABSOLUTELY NO USE of this program. Just FYI.

Ndelaware, you're welcome

Any idea when Elements 5 is due. I upgraded from 2 to 3 just a few weeks before 4 was released and don't want to upgrade to 4 if 5 is just around the corner!!!!

What is the better of these two programs ?

Im looking for easy understanding, Great results,

Opions wanted please

We have Photoshop Elements and enjoy it. It is easy enough for us to use to get the pictures the way we want them.

I agree! I love Photoshop elements. It's a great program, and there are tons of tutorials available for ANYTHING you can think of doing! :goodvibes

5 is not around the corner, it will be released by the end of this year (November-ish). This trial is to gauge what people like/dislike from the program because according to Adobe this program has became so huge probably most people won't use most of the features. They want to bring th success of PSE 2 back (their most profitable version yet).

oh, and 4 more to go.

I have a couple of programs and the one I use the most is Picture It. Very user friendly and an excellant beginner program. LOL I keep going back to it even though I have used Adobe and Paintshop pro.

I use PS Elements 4.0. You can probably get a free 30-day trial of both of them and choose the one you like best.

there are 3 versions.

1. 30-day trial (dies after 30 days)
2. Non trial: you can get tech support and updates (if applicable, although usually they don't have it)
3. Unlimited trial: only sold to very limited companies for market testing purposes only (usually only about 500 copies around North America and only distributed amongst professionals)

I see. I have the 'non-trial'. I was just wondering. Good program. I liked Adobe's Photo Album, as a stand alone, now incorporated in OS E.
