Could someone please help? I have Photoshop Elements 6.0. I have a picture that I would like to blur just the edges, not the rest of the picture. I can't figure out how to do it. Any advice??

There are so many resources for learning to use photoshop. A great one that will show you videos and walk you through things like "blurring an image" is youtube. Go to www.youtube.com and do a search for "blur photoshop" and watch one of the videos where they will walk you through how to blur images. You can even put "blur photoshop elements" in the search querry. Also, another great resource is www.elementsvillage.com

You need to select the area you want to blur first. Let's say I had a picture of a person (portrait) and I wanted to blur the edges to focus on their face. I would take either the rectangular or elliptical marquee to and select the approx. area I want to keep in focus. Then inverse the selection Select>Inverse, feather the edges, Select>Feather, and apply a Gaussian blur.
