Hi everyone,

I have been using LR for about 4-5 years, and I use it to process all my pictures from RAW. I don't do a lot, and I'm sure that there are tons more things that LR can do that I have no clue about! I having the PS and LR bundle with CC and have for a few years, but I've barely touched PS. Actually, anything I've done in PS was something I used to do in Elements years ago. (I still have Elements 9, but I think I started with either 5 or 7).

I know that there are tons of youtube videos out there, but I just really do not enjoy playing, pausing, changing over to PS, then back to youtube, sometimes rewinding etc. I'm looking for a book that will at least give me the basics. There are a few classroom in a book selections out there. Have any of you used any that you would be willing to share a little review of? At least if you thought it was useful or you liked it etc?

Thanks!

I like to work with written tutorials - like the one the Photoshop magazine publishes. I found I learned much more trying to follow their step by step tutorials than reading a book that tells me how theoretically filter A will achieve look A when practically it only works in 1 of 10 instances. The Digital Arts website is one of the starting places I go to http://www.digitalartsonline.co.uk. I also used Photoshop Tutorials in the past http://www.photoshoptutorials.ws/

That's exactly like what I am looking for. I found the classroom in a book type books like that, except at 400 pages of activities showing how to use the tools. I will take a look at those links, thank you so much!

The Classroom in a Book series from Adobe is excellent for learning the tools IF you do the lessons. There is a disc that gives you the images as well as an image of what your finished project should look like.

I was ready to order that one, but it had been published in 2013. Since I have CC in got the one published in 2014. I wanted to wait for the 2015 version, but I didn't want to pay $30 extra.

This is what I got.
