For all of the past Disney Brides, How long did it take for you to get your photos? I want to include a photo from the wedding on the announcement, but am afraid it is going to be a while before I get the photos.

I got my Disney photos within 2 days. They put them in our room. (i swapped my photo package for a honeymoon package instead).
I got my Randy Chapman photo's within a week, as he dropped them off for us at our hotel before our flight back to the UK.

Our castle photo prints didn't get delivered to our home (Canada) until a month after our wedding day.

(I waited about the same amount time for ceremony photo prints from Randy)

UK brides get their photos quicker, and they get the hi-res CD (when using Disney photographers).

For US (and probably Canadian) brides (and grooms ) I think they tell you anywhere from 4-8 weeks. They can come sooner, but I think they give themselves plenty of time, just in case.

Now, they were up on the website and available for all to see within a week or two.

For my announcements, we got a great pic with Goofy and used it on the front of our announcements and directed folks to the Disney Wedding photo website to view all the pictures.

I would suggest, if you want to use something for your announcement that you have someone else take a pic with YOUR camera and use it for your announcements. That would save time (and not violate any copyright issues).

Of course, this is if you are using Disney for your photography. If you are using an outside vendor, talk to them about options/pictures/copyright issues.

Thank you for your help. It is just going to be the two of us for the ceremony. I might have to think of something else for the announcements. Its my understanding they should be sent out right away.

My coordinator took pictures with my camera...and most of them came came out better than the Disney photographers!!

It was only me and DH for our ceremony too!

Yes, I think there are probably all kinds of strict etiquette rules about when announcements should be sent. Personally, I did them on MY schedule and no one complained (or thought I was a louse).

Your coordinator will no doubt take a few pics for you, heck, even the Disney photographer might take one with your camera.

Thank you Hiwaygal and LIGrumpyGirl, you've made me feel better. Our wedding is coming up (May 8th) and I'm starting to stress about things. I know everything will come together.
