The standard cake feeds 50, so you should have no problem saving a good sized piece of it for your anniversary.
We only did the cake cutting for the photographs. We cut it, fed each other a piece and then the coordinator had it boxed up and sent to our room. She gave us a choice if we wanted it sent to our room or sent over to 1900 park fair for our 'reception'. There were only three of us, and there was no reason to cut the cake again at park fair, so we sent it to the room. our 16 year old dd was taken in the limo to the room. She was able to put the cake away and change into warmer clothes since it was so cold that day. Then the limo brought her back to us.
