Hello all :wave2:

I got back from Iceland a week ago but haven't been able to get on the computer much since as I've been ill

But I'm all better now and thought I'd share a few of my photos from Iceland:

Lovely piccies ~ We're going to Rekyjavik in September, Are you doing a trip report?

It looks really lovely, very nice photos, thanks for posting them:thumbsup2

Thanks for your comments :)

I probably won't be doing a trip report as I'm not very good at that sort of thing - I prefer to illustrate my trips with a lot of photos - hence why I had 400 from that trip which was only 6 days!! One thing I will say about Iceland is that it is VERY expensive to do anything i.e. eat!!

But it was a fun place to visit and somewhere a bit different!! :woohoo:

It's just beautiful there, the sky in the second photo is fabulous, a bit like the northern lights without the colour!

Did you do any swimming in any of the hot springs?

I loved the clouds in the second picture - they look like huge birds flying away!! I really wish I got to see the Northern Lights but we were there too late in the year for that - oh well, a good excuse to go back one day!!

We went swimming in the Blue Lagoon on our last day and it was really lovely!! The air temperature was 0 degrees but the water was 37 degrees so it was gorgeous in there!! But the air smelt of sulpher but you get used to it after a while!! Just getting out of the water wasn't pleasant and having to run inside and it was soooo cold!!! :rotfl:

Great photos :)

I was expecting photos of freezers when I saw the thread title LOL

Fab pic, thanks for sharing. My cousin got to see the Northern Lights last year (something she has always wanted to do). She loved it but also said how expensive it is out there to eat.

Good to hear you had a great trip:thumbsup2
