I know this has been posted before but, for some reason the search function isn't "available" right now.:confused3

Where in the World can I have the pictures from my camera transferred onto a CD? I have a feeling my 2-1 GB memory cards aren't going to be big enough storage for a trip to WDW since I used them both on Easter.

You can do that at the camera shop in MGM (I forgot the name, but it would bite you in the nose, it's so close to the front of the park) and at the town hall in MK. I'm pretty sure there are other spots, but those are the two that I've used. :)

Ok, I got off my lazy butt and looked at my park maps (yes, I save them, don't laugh). ;) If you grab a park map and flip it over, it tells you the location of the Kodak picture maker spots (or whatever they're called) in each park.
Good luck and have fun!

Ahh Ha! Silly me! I have the maps too but, I never paid attention to the Kodak "ad"....LOL. Thanks a million!

You can have your pics downloaded to CD at the camera shops in all 4 theme parks. Cost is $12.99 per CD, limit 120 pics per CD.

There are also self-service download machines in the MK and MGM camera shops that do exactly the same thing, but you control it yourself. If you are not technically adept, the MK and MGM camera shops still do it for you if you prefer.

If you have a car, a better option is to go off-site to any of the local Walgreens stores. Each Walgreens has a 24-hour photo lab, and will download your pics to CD for only $2.99 per CD, for as many pics as the CD will hold.

ok real digital novice but how do you know if the card is full...just when it won't take a picture?     if so it seems you almost would have to have 2 cards ?( daughter has a kodac easy share but i rarely use it)

the self service machines burn it to a cd? are the larger cards to big to just email them to yourself at home with the instant share features or do you need a computer to do that?( have no idea how long that would take)

Most digital cameras have some kind of an indicator on them that will either tell you how full the card is or how many more pics you can take before it gets full. You'll have to check your camera's manual to find out where it is, what it looks like, and how it works.

Let's say you have a 512mb card, and it gets full. Emailing 512mb worth of files to yourself would take all day with a dial-up connection, and probably 20 minutes by a broadband connection. But even if you don't care how long it takes, most email accounts are limited to 50mb or less, so your email box at home would not be big enough to put that many pics into it.

Of course, if you are asking about emailing the pics to yourself, that must mean that you will have a laptop with you while at WDW. If that's the case, simply download your pics onto the laptop, and copy them onto your desktop computer when you get home.
