I don't know if anyone can help me with this, and I have no idea of even where to begin to find my answers at this point. The last time we went to WDW was in March of 2010. After we returned home, I bought my PhotoPass pictures, and there was a special at that time where you bought the current one, and you paid a little extra and got one for your next trip as well (I don't think there was an expiration date)...so now I see with the packages, you can purchase Memory Maker, but from what I'm seeing, it's basically the same as PhotoPass...how do I add that on to my current reservation, if I already have one paid for?

You'll need to call them and ask. You can google the number.

thanks! I found my old email confirmations, and got onto the website, and have sent them an email. Our kids don't know we are taking this trip yet, so I can't call and trust that I won't be found out, LOL...I will call when they are at school in the next day or two, if I can't get a response via email...thanks!

I will do that...I will call tomorrow if I get home from work early enough to not have the kids home, or it will be Tuesday, unless they reply to my email sooner...

Remember that Photopass is the name of the service, and not of any product they offer. I don't recall ever hearing of such an offer, but most likely you either paid for the PhotoPass Archive CD or PhotoPass+ (can't remember exactly when they did the switch over), but 2010 is most likely the Archive CD. That product is no longer offered, but if you have proof you bought it, and the terms didn't have an expiration date, the Photopass group will most likely offer to transfer it to a Memory Maker entitlement and add that to your MDE account. Depending on the terms, they may be willing to do it online (if your purchase was totally digital) or may require you to do it in park (if you were sent a voucher). Good luck!

Would you please post your response. I am curious as I am in a similar situation.

This is the reply I received...glad they were quick about it, but disappointed that even with the credit, I will still have to pay another $70 to add it to my reservation...but I would suggest you send them an email as well, if this is also your situation...

Thank you for contacting us regarding your Pre-Purchase PhotoCD.

Regretfully, as the product has changed in the past years and we no
longer offer the PhotoCD, we are unable to transfer this credit over to
our new platform of MyDisneyPhotoPass.com. We can provide you with a
refund via a Disney Gift Card or a check in the amount of $99.95 that
you paid back in 2010. You may use the Gift Card towards the purchase of
our new product, Memory Maker.

Please reply back to this email with the following information:

1. Gift Card or Check
2. Mailing Address
3. Phone number

Once we have this information we will be happy to further assist you.

The Photo CD was in 2010, PhotoPass + 2012 and now memory maker all similar.

Be sure pre-purchase if you are interested in it. Pre purchase $169 vs purchase on your trip or after $199. As always look on the photpass website for any deals. I haven't seen any yet for memory maker but you never know. Also pre purchase equates to about 4 days before your trip, photos taken within 4 days of purchase will not be included in your memory maker purchase.

So, can I ask you this? Do you get ALL of the pics that they take, or are you limited? Do you pay extra to get the pics, or is the price inclusive, no matter how many pics you select? Do you get them all on a CD? And if my kids go on an attraction without me, (I'm assuming I can link their Magic Bands so theirs work for the MM, also?), will I get their pics taken while they are on that attraction, or is it only when I'm on it, too? At least I had a clue with the PhotoPass--with MM, not so much...

Pre purchase at least 4 days before your trip (start taking pics). When you purchase MM they will link it to your MDE acoount. Anyone linked to your account (friends / family) can take photos via Photopass photogs, ride photos and videos and those photos will show up in your account. All can aquire photos for 30 days which starts the when the first pic was taken. You do not have to be present when photos are taken, even on rides. The ride photos & videos will automatically link to your account when they ride. No need to swipe a card or jot down a number or anything for the rides and you don't have to be with them either. When a photopass photog takes your photo they will swipe your band.

I recommend checking nightly via the Photopass website for your photos/videos to show up in your account. Especially ride photos, sometimes the automatic aquisition is not so automatic. If this happens just call PP services and give time date ride and they are good about finding the photo.

Memory Maker is basically equivalent to PhotoPass+. You get copies of all the pictures that they take, including ride pictures and video. They no longer offer a CD, you need to download them all to your computer. Memory Maker should automatically be attached to any "Friends and Family" in your MDE account.

Two snippets from the Memory Maker FAQ here -> https://mydisneyphotopass.disney.go.com/help-and-support/memory-maker
Can my Memory Maker entitlement include my travel party’s photos?

Absolutely! If other guests choose to share their photos taken during your Memory Maker window with you through My Disney Experience Family & Friends, you will have the ability to download those photos (photo sharing rules subject to change).

How do I receive my attraction photos?
After you finish riding a participating attraction, the guest with the Memory Maker entitlement needs to stop at that attraction’s Sales Center within 24 hours and associate the photo to their MagicBand, Memory Maker card or Disney PhotoPass Card.

Some people have reported that the video from 7DMT only shows up if the person rode the ride, so you may want to lend your kids your band while they ride.

All photos/videos taken on your account by you or F&F linked to your account are included in the price of memory maker. No matter how many. When your trip is over; you view, edit and then dowload the pics to your computer. On a normal trip, you might get 200 or 300 photos. But I've some extended stays where I got almost 2000 photos.

You don't get a CD; it's strictly a download product.

Yes download only.

For an additional charge you can purchase a CD copy of your photos and/or buy gallery photos and other products but the MM price is download only. Once you download you can copy and duplicate as you wish as long as its for personal usage not selling the photos.

Awesome!! Thank you all so much for the info!! I really appreciate it!!

The photos are held in the que for 45 days from the date taken. Then they may be deleted. You want to view, edit and download before that 45 day mark.

If folks from another family with their own MDE are linked to your account, their photos will also show up in your account. They can view the photos from their account but if they edit the photos in their account, the edited ones will not show up in your account and will not be included in the MM price. In this case if they wanted to personally edit any photos they would have to do it via your(the purchaser's) account.

Nope, it's just us, but I'm glad to know if I don't want to go on a ride that my kids do, that there will still be a photo opp... :)

If you are unhappy with their response(I would be too) I would call and speak with a supervisor. I'm going to do that. I am not interested in the ride photos, and they still offer individual photos for purchase with photopass. I'm not sure why they can't honor photos that are put on a CD. I'll let you know how I make out.

I can't complain about how I made out, because I paid less than that for the initial package AND the pre-purchase, because of a cast member discount...so if they're going to pay me the value of the initial PhotoPass, that's fine, I'll apply it toward the MM...my only issue is that I have to shell out another $70 now to get it--but the PhotoPass didn't include attraction photos before, either...but let me know how you make out, because I considered calling to tell them that I wanted the MM paid, since I didn't expect to have to pay anything for that, having pre-purchased the other thing...
