Should we get Photopass? We've done it on previous trips but will have APs this year. I'm debating skipping it because we won't be doing character meals this trip and I think most of the rides that do ride pictures that we could do are being refurbed while we are there. We will be at DL for 6 days starting the 6th, if that matters.

I got PP+ for the first time in mid-November and thought it was a good deal because we were focused on character meet and greets, ride photos, and we did one character meal. If we weren't doing all of these things, I probably wouldn't do PP. In terms of the ride photos, only Splash (DL) is closed for refurbishment. Ride photos are available at Space, RSR, Screamin', and ToT.

I've got young kids, RSR is prob the only one we'd ride. I guess I will pass this time and maybe get it next trip :)

We always get Photopass and our kids are older so they do not do the Meet and Greets. We love getting the ride pictures along with all the random Photopass photos throughout the parks:thumbsup2

Are there PP Photographers at all the charcter meet and greets like A&E and Olaf

There are PP Photographers at A&E and Olaf, and also in the snow play area. The meet and greets on the street are hit and miss. Generally, the "special" ones or "standard" ones (like Mickey in his house) have PP Photographers.

Thanks! That sells me on the photo pass, those pictures are the most important to me along with character dinning, so i will be ordering mine today!

Yeah, if this is the only trip you are doing this year, I find it is totally worth it. We will be back a few times this year, so I'm not concerned with not getting it for 1 trip. And heck, I may change my mind when we get there (is it more expensive if you buy it in teh parks? It's been a while since we last had it)

Yeah- it's 30ish bucks more to buy it at Disneyland, but you need two weeks before your trip to ensure that the pre ordered voucher arrives in the mail. (Or an understanding CM, from what I hear you can show proof of payment if you forgot your voucher and they'll hook you up, but that might be a person to person basis) I love our Photopass pictures and look forward to collecting more on my upcoming February trip! However, our favorite interactions with characters have been unscheduled random encounters when they did not have a CM handler and were likely on their way on or off stage- we took pictures of each other strolling with Mary Poppins, getting glared at by Snow White's evil queen, and meeting Snow White herself at her grotto! I do love how Photopass allows everyone to be in the shot, and I look forward to an ironic family picture in front of the castle!

We are at a week out, so probably too late to get it cheaper now :)

We're planning to do breakfast with Minnie and Friends at the Plaza - is there a Photopass Photographer there?

They don't give you an email voucher?:confused3
The voucher you take with you and exchange for the PP+ lanyard/card comes in the mail. You'll get an email confirmation saying you ordered PP+, but the actual voucher comes via snail mail.

There is a PP Photographer at Minnie's. They take a couple of shots on the porch when you come in (not with a character). There are no photopass photos for the characters in the breakfast. If you have PP+, you will receive the photo in a folder along with a photo of Minnie. Otherwise the package costs $39.95.

Thanks for the info. Disappointing - one of the reasons I was considering it was to get pictures at the breakfast. Probably still do it, but disappointing.
