Hello! :goodvibes

Has anyone used a photopass on their visit? I have been reading up on them and don't know if its worth it or not?

It is totally worth it to at least use the photopass service because there is no cost involved to get the photos taken at the parks. You don't have to pre-purchase anything. Once your trip is over you can look at your photos and decide if you want to buy the cd or buy any prints. There is no money commitment before that point, and it actually costs less to purchase the cd afterwards than to pre-purchase it.

It seems like an easy way to get good quality photos!
Thanks :)

It depends on what you order. The CD is around $60. Last trip I uploaded my own DL photos to the site and created a scrapbook with my photos plus photopass photos for $75 (I think).

We have bought a photopass on 3 different trips. I totally recommend it.

Sometimes they run specials in the parks too, if you don't need/want any of the borders, they will give you the CD there and you can get some "free" prints of a few of the pictures.

Our fall/winter trips worked out perfectly. We did the Halloween Party and then went back just before Thanksgiving and got to see all the Christmas decorations. We got all the pictures and borders on the same CD.

I didn't pay much attention, but we bought the pics at Goofy's Kitchen and they said something about also getting to have them added to our photopass if we wanted I think. Since we didn't use it this past trip, I was only 1/2 listening....

Yes, if you buy the pictures, they should give you the number to add to the photopass website. That way you get the rights to that pic (if you buy the CD) and you can reprint, etc.

This is a good site to give the basics. It's WDW-centric (heck, so is the photopass website itself, until you have DLR photopass card ID numbers on it!) so filter some of the info out. A Dis'er runs the site.
