I need information. Can anyone direct me to a non-biased informational guide to how photopass works and why or if I should want to participate??

Ill have to be honest. I had fully intended on using the photopass when we went in June. I have never heard of a complaint.
However, I really had a hard time spotting photographers at the parks, other than MK. Are they AT the other parks?
I know, I know, "you didnt see them, because you didnt need them." Well, yes I did. I did look. The ONLY ones I saw were at MK. And few at that.
What gives?

We used Photopass and came away with 215 pictures. We found them all over Epcot...at Character Connection, in all the countries when the characters were out, in France with the Eiffel tower, at the front entrance to Epcot. At DHS, they were at the main entrance with the Socerer's hat in the background, at the character meet and greets, and on Sunset Blvd.

They were everywhere the last time we were down. I think the photopass is only worth it if it is a large family group going and you can split the costs. We have five separate families using it so it will cost us only about $20 each.
When we get the CD I'll burn copies for everyone. I think $99 for a single family is a bit steep. Also, unless you want to spend hours and hours in line for photos, you may night find it's worth the cost.
Guess it's an individual choice.

We were there last July/August and they were everywhere. Maybe it was because it was our DS11 first trip and we did a lot of character greets, but they also stopped us at other times (like in front of the castle) and got us to pose for pictures. There was also at least one ride (but not all of them) that we were able to add our ride pictures to photopass, but I don't remember which.

We didn't take advantage of the photopass last year, which we now regret, but we plan to preorder to save the $$$ before our upcoming trip.

The photopass photographers are dressed differently at the other parks than they are at MK. Could that have been the problem?

Thanks all.

I decided to join a photopass share that was started in the Budget forum. I ended up spending about 10 bucks for the photopass option. I figured, for that amount, it's worth the experiment. I will let you know my verdict upon my return. ;)
