We leave on Saturday :cheer2: and was wondering if anyone who has been to WDW recently can tell us what rides have been added to the Photopass?

We were there the last week of September and the only one at that time was Test Track. Don't know if any others have been added since then or not.

I personally don't reccomend the photopass. I mean there's only certain places (in front of the castle, spaceship earth, the hat, the tree, and with characters) where you can get your photo taken, and whether you like the picture or not, you're stuck with it... I think that a digital camera will give you the freedom to take your own pictures wherever you want, and if you don't like the pic, you can just delete and retake it. i think that value-wise, it's better to get a digital because even once you get back from WDW, you can use it on other things. The only real reason I would see getting a photopass would be to get the discounted (or free?) ride photos that you can't really take yourself, but even then I would just get the ride photos I liked, and leave the others. I think getting a camera is a much better idea.

EDIT: sorry, i just re-read the original post and my rant doesn't really answer the question lol.. i actually have no idea what rides are included, but I still think that anyone considering a photopass should read this, because I think it's important :thumbsup2

Test Track is the only ride but if you get photos with the characters alot the photo pass can be worth it.

PLUS.... the photopass photographers will take pictures with your camera as well, and... you can view the pictures you have on your photopass account BEFORE ou decide to purchase them... you are not obligated to purchase the cd once you get a card :thumbsup2

I say try it out and have the photopass people take pictures with YOUR camera too... that way you can see how many pictures you would want on the cd, and if it's over 12 then it's well worth it.

and, test track is currently the only ride on it. at least it was as of 2 weeks ago!!

We were there from 10/25-11/1 and I just got done looking at our pictures on PhotoPass (again). Yes, we did take pictures with our digital camera. However, I think the PhotoPass is a great idea and you don't have to order any pictures at all if you don't want to. The whole family can be in the picture rather than trying to ask someone to take it. I also like the fact that we can share our pictures with our family and they can order any prints they like and add borders to it as well. This will definately come in handy for my parents! I've already sent an invite to my brother so that he can see his nephew's face. Of course ordering prints will definately add up. The price ranges from $12.95 to $19.95 depending on whether you want a 5x7, 8x10, 4 wallets or a 5x7 & wallets.

And yes, Test Track is the only ride right now that is on Photopass. But a CM did tell us that they are working at adding others. I don't remember if Splash Mountain is the next one to be added or not. :scratchin

Thanks to everyone for your replies.

We have just returned and I love using the photopass in addition to my camera. Our first day was spent at Blizzard Beach and there, instead of the credit card, you get a small photopass card on a bracelet so we could use it in the water. It really came in handy to have it always nearby! However, the unthinkable happened after a week of wearing it everyday - the card broke off the bracelet somewhere in Epcot! I was totally devestated as we had a bunch of pictures on it and I stupidly forgot to write down the card number.

However, a great CM named Patsy at the Camera Center in Epcot was there to help us retrieve our photos. We just had to narrow it down to the approximate time, date and location of one of the photos and we had to look thru all that were taken during that time period. We were super lucky that we only had to scroll thru 2 pages before my son found ours!

Anyway, word of advice if you do use the PhotoPass card is to write the numbers down, so you can still retrieve the pics if you lose the card.
