Hi all,

We are thinking about getting the PP+ this year for the first time and want to guage what peoples opinions are of it.

We did a similar thing at Universal last time and was a little disappointed. (mainly due to lack of photographers)

With the ride photos - Do you get the actual photograph or is it a electronic copy? Is there a limit to the number you can get? From our party of 8 only 3 of us will ride the "big" rides and one of those is our 4 year old. We normally dont "buy" the photos - only if they are really good - But this is the first year that I can ride for a few years (always been pregnant) and would love to get some of me, Hubbie and DD.

What character meal photos are included? Do u get actual photos? (I assume just with CRT and Akeshaus)

I worry about spending $149 and it not being worth it!

With the ride photos you can upload as many as you want. You don't get a physical copy.

With the character meals (and other meals that offer photographs) if you have the pp+ card they give you the photo package which normally costs $30 dollars and the photos are also uploaded into your account.

We did several character meals and all the rides which are photographed so we found the cost of the pp+ more than worth it. We had almost 1000 photos after all the photo editing.

PP+ didn't exist when we went in 2011, but we got the regular photopass and it was VERY worth it for us.
We went for two weeks and got as many photos taken as we could. It was so lovely to get our images shortly after our trip! It was supposed to be our only ever holiday to WDW so picture memories were important.

Now we are going back and I am definitely going to get PP+ as I love the idea of rides and character dining photos too!

We're here right now and armed with our photopass + voucher. Not using it till next saturday when we switch to the Beach Club and Disney half of our vacation. We have used the photopass for several years now and has been well worth getting, in fact I wouldn't consider coming without it now, but with the additional features of the 'plus' element, should be even better as the ride photo's have never been purchased due to the costs, now we can have them all (however many times we go on a ride!).

Another thumbs up for PP+

We don't do trips without PP and did the PP+ last year. It was worth it for us because we do lots of rides and we always buy at least 2-3 ride photos per trip so that alone made it a winner for us. Even though we didn't do any character meals last year it was great value.

We had over 100 ride photos on the disc when we got back as well as over 300 photos from the parks before adding edits.

It does vary from one family to the next as to whether it is worth it so have a look at what you usually do and what you usually wish you could do and you can assess. Digital copies suit us better as you can print them so cheaply when you get home and printing out more than one copy this way gives you a much better image than if you were given the print and had to scan it as a jpg.

we've pre-purchased it for our trip in two weeks..

we always use photopass, and when i heard that pp+ includes the rides, i figured it was a no brainer...
last time we paid something like $14 per ride photo to get them uploaded to our photopass....with the pp+, they're all included..
that's a tremendous savings!!!!

Thanks for the replies.

We dont normally buy the ride photos unless they are really good. But I like the idea of having them all. Esp given we are having to split ride - Hubbie will ride with DD and then I will. We MAY occasionally get to ride together. - We have 3 younger children so someone will need to stay behind with them.

We have also loved some of the pp photos previously taken but always found getting the actual pictures quite expensive. Would love to have them all so we could get them printed at home.

Does anyone know if we can get piccies at Tuskers?

We did photopass+ for our first trip last summer and I am so glad we did. Being able to have all of those photos has been great.

The meal photos are now $35.10 each and the PP+ includes the actual prints at (where they don't come with the meal anyway):
Tusker House
Ohana
Chef Mickeys
1900 Park Faire
Hoop Dee Doo
Spirit of Aloha

Ride photos are digital only and currently priced at $14.95 each.

The plus was worth it for us as we had 4 of the above meals this trip :thumbsup2

note : it's only for breakfast, and it's a photo without the caracters (background decor outside of the restaurant)

but with every actual print package, you get 1 large picture of your party, 1 large picture of all the characters posing (or a pic of the cast in case of a diner show) and 3 smaller prints of your party
