I'm a WDW veteran and once at DL when I don't think Photopass existed (or at least I didn't know about it, it was 2003). Anyway, does anyone know what ride, dining or character meals it would include? Even though I loved the Photopass last year in WDW, I realize its different at DL now that you can't buy a entire stay pass. Anyone know or could direct me where to look? TIA :o:)

Every ride that has a photo is included (off the top of my head Splash, Space, Screamin' ToT, RSR, maybe Buzz - but I think you email those to yourself) each character meal has a photo except Chip and Dale's. Most are with a character (Mickey - Surf's Up; Goofy or Pluto - Goofy's Kitchen; Ariel - Ariel's Grotto) Minnie's does not have a character it's just a group picture on the porch).

I don't think PhotoPass includes the character breakfasts anymore, or at least not at Goofy's Kitchen. We were there last week and had brunch on Sunday. They took pictures of the girls and offered us a package (8x10, 4 4-6" photo, etc) for $35. We asked if a digital picture could be linked to PhotoPass and they said no, we could only have the picture with Goofy if we forked over another $35. But it could be that photographer didn't know what he was doing, so there's that.

My understanding is they're supposed to give you the code to link them but I haven't been since they started the new system so I could be wrong.

This is disappointing! They want to charge $39 for a Day of Photopass and they don't even include the character meals, which also are very expensive. I'm beginning to think that DL is only out to get your $, not feeling any magic here! I'll take my own pictures. WOW.:scared: I thought this vacation would be magical being at the original Park but I'm seeing that WDW is much better at its customer service and you at least a chance of a decent vacation. Last time I'll go to DL that's for sure. I'm paying more going to DL than I ever paid for at WDW. This really blows.:mic:

They are supposed to be included both for the One Day Photopass and for Signature, Signature Plus, and Premier Passholders. It's stated on the website in several places with no exception indicated for Goofy's Kitchen. You unfortunately encountered a CM who was either unaware of this or was just being lazy and did not want to get you the code to add it.

Heck, they've recently added in runDisney photos into this which were never included previously (although previously they were provided by Marathonfoto and not Photopass). Hoping this stays an offering.

I would call Disney and talk to them directly about this and see if your picture can be recovered.

We were at Goofy's 4/11, and I had the PhotoPass photographer scan the bar code from the Disneyland app (since I was logged into my account). When they came by with the print out photo package, the CM confirmed that the PRINT package was no longer included with the PhotoPass (we had used PP+ on prior trips and have a collection of prints from Goofy's) but that I could still link the photo image to my account. But, just in case, he also gave me a photo code if I needed to manually link it to my account. To the prior poster, I'd say contact the PhotoPass people and give them the date, approx time and physical description of your party (even better if you know what clothes they were wearing). They probably can still retrieve the image.

Oh, I might do that then. It amazes me that they didn't tell us that when we specifically asked because they also didn't scan our PhotoPass code when we had the pictures taken. Thanks for the clarification!

Glad to also hear this clarification but I'm still disappointed with DL and I haven't even been there yet!

Maybe you can make use of learning these things in advance of your trip. Sure some things are different than WDW that will disappoint you. Whether you can enjoy a DLR trip or not will depend on if you can get over the disappointment now, so you can focus on what is good and even better about DL when you are there.

I go through a period of disappointment every time I plan a WDW trip. I think about all of my favorite things I will miss from the DLR like Pirates (oh so much better at DL), Matterhorn, Fantasmic (IMO much better at DL), DL's Space, WOC, Screamin, and in the past Aladdin. My husband would list the top 3 things he misses as Churros. (WDW just doesn't seem to know how to do them)

Then I let those feelings go and I can focus on what I love about WDW like EE, The Lion King show, and World Showcase restaurants
If you can let go of specific things that will be different, you may really enjoy this trip. I sure hope you can. I think there is so much to love about the place. And while I love both DL and WDW and have been to both numerous times (I am not close to either here in MN), I do personally love DL a bit more so there must be some great things about it too, LOL.

I sure hope you have a good trip!
