Photopass Superthread!

I usually redeem my voucher first thing so that I don't forget to do it. I've never experienced a long line in the early morning. If you prefer, you can wait and do it later and just use a regular photopass card until you get the PP+. You can then add both to your acct.

Thanks for the quick response! What about ride photos? Can we come back later and have them added?

Is there still no where outside of the park to redeem the voucher? If not, when do you guys exchange your vouchers? I don't want to waste the early park hours, when lines are short, waiting in line to redeem a voucher. But I don't want to miss out on pictures in those early hours either :/
I redeemed mine at Goofy's Kitchen because we had reservations there the day we arrived, but we did not go into the parks that day. I would think you would need to have reservations there to redeem it there, but ask at the check-in desk maybe they can activate it for you even if you are not eating there.

I was told that the camera store at DCA didn't open until "official" park opening time, but that was incorrect - it was actually open when the gates opened. I was able to get my lanyard while my DH was at the rope for the RSR FP line.

Correct, you cannot redeem your voucher before entering the park. We usually split up - one of us goes to get a FP while the other gets the PP+. Last year I went to get FP for the Anna & Elsa meet n green (when it was still in DL) and in the time it took me to get that, DH had gotten the PP+ AND already gone through the Princess Fantasy Fair with DD.

I believe another option is that you could just do what you want to do and just get a regular PP card from a photographer if you happen to do pictures with characters or at iconic spots, then later on in the day when you get your PP+ you can have them load the pictures onto your PP+ card. As long as it is the same day I'm pretty sure it will work.

How long does it typically take to come in the mail. I figured if it was coming from Cali to Washington state, it would be quick, but they shipped it last week and I still haven't received it... :worried:

I'm in WA also and mine arrived in less than a week. I'm not sure exactly how many days it took as I was out of town so it was there with several days worth of mail.

Dang! I hope it didn't get lost. I am going to hope that it's just delayed because of our crappy USPS delivery person.

Same here. Live in Washington, got in less than a week. Wonder if there is a customer service you can call to inquire if they have tracking on it.

Quick question....We are less than 14 days from arrival, decided to make a last minute one day trip and want to do the photopass....I know we can't get the $69.95 special due to the time frame allowed....any other offers as the price without a discount just doesn't seem like it will be worth it for just one day for us but we love our photopass pics!!! Does anyone still do the share groups anymore???
TIA!!!!

Once I get the CD or download of the PhotoPass + pictures I could upload some of them to a site like Shutterfly or Snapsfish and make my own book right? I want to do this so I could give a couple as Christmas gifts to our family.

Yes, I have done this. They provide a photo release with your photos, but Shutterfly has never questioned where my photos came from!

Great- I had read a lot about doing prints and wanted to make sure I could do a book too. There is always a special offer going on through Shutterfly!

Guys! I need your help! So I'm considering buying PP+.

So far I understand that for this package you get to keep your ride pictures, dinner pictures and an unlimited number of photos taken by the Disney photographers. Am I right? I don't need to pay to add any of these features, it's all included.

If I buy it now (our trip is in about 42 days *yay!*) do you think it will arrive in time to my country (México)? I'll probably use my aunt's credit card to order it, if it doesn't get here in time will I need to show my aunt's credit card once in Disneyland so I can confirm the purchase? Thank you!

This was already answered, but YES! and in addition, Shutterfly now has a Disney themed book too! I thin it is $5 extra to use the Disney pages and stickers. I can't wait to use it for our next trip!

I didn't read the whole thing (sorry!) Can someone tell me how this works with BBB? We didn't do the highest package, but will have this so can we still have photos taken (even without the prints)? We have a 9:10am appointment on our first day...park opens at 9, will I have time to get the card?

Thanks!

(Posted something similar in another thread)

I think I won't buy the package. I wanted to get it so mom and I could enjoy quality photos of our 1st DL trip in over 12 years but I was reading some other reviews and people were complaining that there aren't many pp+ stops in the DLR. Just a few in DL and some more in CA. They were also saying that many of the photographers aren't "professional", so the pics don't look that amazing... :C

I really don't know what to do because it is a bit expensive and we only have tickets for 3 days. We want to enjoy the parks as much as we can and if the price is going to be worth it then we'd have to actually look for the photographers and take our time when taking the picture. And like I said in another post, the dollar in my country is really expensive right now so I'm going to pay almost double for the package. That's why I wonder if its really worth it!

I'm confused!!

Yes, you should. If you're a minute or two late for BBB it won't matter terribly. Getting the lanyard doesn't take long, and it's possible, if you're not on an EMH morning, that you can zip into the camera store before the "official" opening time - it's on Main Street before the rope (they SAY the camera shop isn't open before rope drop, but if there's someone there, they'll usually accommodate).
