Could someone explain to me what this is? I did a search and still couldn't really understand how it works.

Thanks much!

A Photopass share is where a group of people on the Dis figure out that they are all going to DLR (or WDW) around the same time and instead of each of them purchasing the Photopass CD seperately and paying $79.99 each, one head person purchases the CD. After they all go on their trips and take tons of Photopass pictures, they each e-mail their Photopass ID numbers to the head person, and she/he puts them all onto one account. She/he then copies the correct number of CDs for each person and mails them out. The $79.99 is added to the price of postage and blank CDs and then divided by how many people are in the share.. So each person pays a whole lot less and has their CD full of PP pictures that they had taken on their trip!!

HTH and makes sense!

Thanks for the explanation!

I think i understand it now.

So we're going with my parents in June. I could buy the CD then get the pictures online for both of us if we go in on the price.

I just talked to my mom and I think we're going to do it. That way we can have pictures with the whole family instead on someone getting left out. One more question. Do you pay for it at the parks. Does it have to be before you have any pictures taken?

Thanks

Going with your parents is barely even sharing. :) You're all in the same family!

Just have lots of pictures taken by the photographers...if you guys split apart from each other during your stay know that each group can get their own card. At the end of the trip, take everyone's cards. That way no one will be tempted to enter them into their own online account!

Create an account, enter any photopass card ID numbers onto the account. Then you can give online access to those pictures to anyone you want, and everyone can edit. You have 30 days from the start of your vacation to enter them online, and 30 days after that to edit, and after that you have to order or you'll lose the pictures.

So once you do your editing, then you order the CD! It's then sent to you, and if you want to copy a CD for your parents you can do so, or if they want something official-looking you can order a copy of the CD from Photopass for an extra 20ish dollars. :)

That sounds easy enough. So I don't pay untill we look at them online at home right?

I really appricate the information prettyprincessbelle and bumbershoot.

Thanks again

Yes it's cheaper now to just order it normally.

I'm trying to not mention the prepurchase anymore b/c I have enough old mentions of that under my name already! :rotfl:

But many times people think that you have to pay for photopass just to have your pictures taken or even to get a card, and I was thinking that was more what OP was thinking.

:goodvibes
