I was just wondering if you need to order your photo pass cd prior to your trip or can you order it when you get home? What are the advantages of ordering it in advance? For some reason this whole photo pass thing is confusing to me. Do you get photo pass or photo pass plus?

I believe it is cheaper if you order in advance. Before PP+ came along, it was $50 cheaper--I don't know what it is now.

You can order after you get home but you will pay the full price. Both photopass and photopass plus have prepurcase offers:

I have ordered the regular photo pass, not +.

By ordering it prior to your trip your save money, the regular one was $119 instead of $149 (I think). We decided against + as we aren't doing any character meals and the only ride we will probably go on to get the benefit is Buzz so if the photo is good and we buy it we will still have spent less than +.
Does that make sense? I went through the same confusion as you but luckily discovered that I know an ex-employee who helped me out!!

Thank you for the help. So when you purchase photo pass you get the cd and then can you print the pictures any where or do you still have to order them through Disney?

They come with a release--you can print them anywhere.
