I did look over the HUGE PP thread but I didn't really see this answered so I wanted to check here.

Years ago I was able to split the photopass cd with a group of people traveling the same month but different times as us. Huge cost savings. So I want to confirm that this would be possible especially that today is the day I'm 2 weeks away from our trip.

We arrive 2/2-2/7. My sister and her family arrive 2/21-2/28. Would we be able to split the photopass cost and add all of our pictures to one account?? It's the 30 day time thing I'm needing to confirm.

Does that mean since our trip starts 2/2, we basically would have until 3/2 to edit all of our pictures?

Also, what is the new thing with ride pictures? Is this an additional cost or can they be added from both of our trips for the $69.99 charge.

I appreciate any quick responses since it sounds like we'd need to order today.

Thank you!!!!!

When you get your photopass+ lanyard, they punch it for fourteen days out from the day you receive it. So that card would not work for the second trip.

I'm not sure if you can add other Photopass cards after the fourteen day mark and get them on the same cd. That's a good question!

I am not positive on this, so you may want to call Disney, but according to the website, Yes you do have 30 days to log onto your account and edit your photos. My guess is if you only create one account then you could use it for both trips. It also says that multiple photo pass cards can be added to the account, so I don't even think you would have to give them your photo pass card, but that they can get their own and then just enter the info onto your photo pass account. I am not sure on the ride photos. at Disney World everything is linked with your magic band, but I am not sure with the Disneyland system. You could probably purchase the CD ahead of time and then ask about the ride photos when you get there. Have fun.

As lorijohnhill said, they will punch out the expiration date on the lanyard when you pick it up. It's only good for 14-days and after that you can no longer use it when you have photos taken. So you cannot share the PP+ lanyard with your sister. She would have to have arrived (and depart) within the 14-day window in order to have the photos included in the original PP account/order. You have 30-days to edit and order your photos, but that is independent of which dates you can use the PP+ lanyard.

In terms of the attraction photos, those are now included with PP+. Give your PP+ lanyard/card to the attendant at the attraction photo booth and they'll add your ride photos to your account. Then, when you order your PhotoCD or download the photos, the attraction photos will be included.

Thank you everyone. I went ahead and bought it yesterday when we were exactly 14 days out. Hopefully we get it in time before we go. We are in Sacramento so shipping should be fairly quick I'd hope. DBF didn't think it was worth it, we've done it in the past. He's not as into pictures as I am. I have a DSLR that I plan to take for only one day as I LOVE photography. Its my birthday week and darnit I want my pictures with characters. :) THanks for your input everyone.

Good to see you have ordered your PP+, I'm sure you'll have fun getting some birthday pictures!

As others have said with PP+ you only have 14 days from the day you activate to collect character meal & ride photos. You can collect normal photo pass photos after that time, or on a normal photo pass card that the photographers hand you. You can add multiple photo pass cards into your account before you order the CD. So your sister and her family can use a normal photo pass card to get photos and add them to your pre-purchased CD but they won't be able to get ride or character meal photos included ( they could buy them separately and then add the codes to your CD).

Unless things have changed you have 30 days from the first photo to CLAIM your photos in the system, that is to login to your account and enter your photo pass card number (s). You then have another 30 days (from the date you claim them) to ORDER the CD (and anything else you want. So you could wait until your sisters trip is about to start, or is almost over, to claim your photo pass card. Then you will have a bit more time for any editing/ adding borders after you add her cards.

I have done the Photopass + at least 8 times...we have done multiple trips in two of them. Yes the Photopass+ they punch it for 14 days..but you have up to 30 days to add regular photopass cards to it. You can not do the ride pictures, or the Character meals after the 14 days. Last one we did we went in Oct for Halloween time and the my daughter and I went in Nov for Christmas time. We got over 400 pictures!

In the past, I was able to call customer service and they were able to add ride photos to my PP+ account just by the 6 digit number. For my DW and I split up and we both rode rides with ride photos, and only one of us had the card. One time I even called about 3-4 weeks after I got home and realized we were missing one of our ride photos from California Screamin'. I described the time of day and clothing I was wearing, and the CM found my picture and added it in.

If the 2nd family relayed the 6 digit ride photo numbers to the 1st family, could they get them added for free? Perhaps the answer is yes, or depends on the CM.

I would think the problems is that the dates associated with those attraction photos would be outside of the 14-day window for which the PP+ lanyard is valid.

This is one of the best upgrades you get when and if the MagicBands and MDE come to DL. Before, PP+ was the same. You got ride shots if you noted the number and gave your lanyard to the CM to log it.
But with Magic Bands....is magic!! They just show up. It's absolutely amazing. You just go past the counter, don't stop. When you get home that
ride photo is right there with the rest.
