Photopass question

We are new to the whole Photopass thing. We aren't really interested in Photopass +, since we aren't eating at any of the restaurants that participate and don't really love the ride pics. I would, however like to pre-urchase the regular Photopass voucher ahead of time for $119. I read on Allears a comment stating you could get a refund if you didn't like the pictures or they weren't good, so I went to the Disney page to order the Photopass. Before I ordered I read that there are no refunds:(
So, Photopass veterans....is it worth the risk??
Oh...and one more question to see if I understand correctly. Photopass+ includes an extra CD of stock WDW photos which are not included with regular Photopass. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, PP+ does include a disc of stock photos. PP does not. It gives you a few stock photos of the parks you had pictures taken in, but just a few.

No, there are no refunds.

A friend of mine had an experience last year where a lot of her photos came out blurry, or just plain bad (according to her anyway, I didn't see them). I do know, that she tried to contact Disney and get her money back, even partial money back, and they wouldn't. They told her that she had at least 10 good pictures, and that was well worth her value of the $119.

Again, this is all from her side, I don't know if this is what occurred exactly, but I know she complained, and I know they did not refund her money.

I've done regular PP before and really liked knowing that I would get all the photos taken at Disney. Take as many as you can!! LOL

I have always heard that you can get a full refund on the Photopass CD preorder, but not the Photopass Plus CD preorder. But maybe that's changed.

If you are going for more than 4 days, it is totally worth it. I never saw the need before last January's trip, but went for it (PP+) and LOVED it. We took way more pictures, in different groupings, and had a lot of fun with it. It allowed us to leave the big camera back in the room most days. I am also NOT a border kind of girl, but found myself enjoying this part as well (same with my sister, a fellow border nay sayer).

Go for it, don't worry about it, and just have fun with it! Do some research about where the magic shots are.

I'm getting one for our 11/2 trip and have gotten them during past trips. I've been very happy with the pictures. Not everyone was perfect, but I was happy with the selection of good photos. Also, the more pictures you take them more photos you have to chose from and your chances of finding nice photos increases. I plan to stop at every PP photographer I see!!

I just pre-ordered our regular PhotoPass for our trip that begins in 22 days. Will I receive a PhotoPass card in my mail or do I just have to wait until the first PhotoPass photographer we see and ask for one then? We are on a room only reservation so we don't expect any other Disney mail prior to our trip. (We already received our Magical Express vouchers and tags and our Magic Bands.)

Bumping to get back on page 1 - hoping for an answer to my question.

All I can tell you for sure is that with my Photopass+ preorder, I received a voucher and not a card.

If you pre-ordered the PhotoCD/Archive CD (New name) it will be in your PhotoPass account as a credit. When you go to order the CD, it should show a discount being applied to the CD for the cost of the CD and you just need to pay for shipping.

You can either just use your Magic Bands, or get a PhotoPass card from any PP photographer. Either works with your account.

Thanks, mountdew1. I will ask for a card since I've read several reports of missing photos when just Magic Bands were used. I'll take a photo of the back of my card once I have it as a back-up in case it gets misplaced or lost.

So, for doing this with your MB, is there anything you need to do in advance on the site? Like linking your MB to the photo pass site? Or does your MB just automatically work as if it were a photo pass card?

Can someone point me to the most current, up-to-date list of the magic shot locations?

I hadn't realized MB could be used for photopass. Can it be used for photopass plus?

We are going with 4 families and were/are just sharing one photopass plus. I know with rides we'll only have one card...but there shouldn't be any other problems right?

And our TA ordered the pass for us and said it would be waiting for us at hotel...anyone do this this way before? Do I still need to take it somewhere for the card? Can it be done at DTD?
