photopass question

I have pre-purchased my cd already. Instead of an autograph book I am going to have the characters sign a matte to border a picture and use a pic from one of the disney photographers. My question is, the pics they take are they vertical or horizontal? I don't want the signatures to be for a vertical pic and only get horizontal pics. Thanks.

I have done this and this is what I have found does and doesn't work for me. I take the Signature Matte to character meals whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. But when I lugged it through the parks with me it got bent and dirty. So I won't take it to the park with me. I also take a clipboard for it to stay flat on. However another idea is that if you don't want to do an autograph book you can cut up different colors of paper, posterboard, or cardstock and hole punch just one corner slide a binder clip or shower ring through it and choose a color for each character. Just an idea hope it helps.

Thank you both. I am only planning on taking it to one park (two if I have to) so hopefully it won't get messed up, it will also be in a ziplock bag so it won't get dirty. That is a good idea with the cards, but I am all out of time. I'm now in the packing mode so pretty much what is done is done.

I've done the same thing as Prince Charmings Mom, the matte that the charachters then sign. You need to decide ahead of time (or the 1st charachter who signs you will decide for you! Which format (vertical or horizontal) you want. The PhotoPass photographers will take both horizontal and vertical images, but because you have the disk and reprinting permissions, you can crop and edit them, so even if it is not the format you want, you may be able to change it by cropping.

I bought the matte at AC Moore and it came in a resealable thick vinyl protective cover, so I kept it in that, except for when we were at a restaurant with continuous carachter interaction. I also used 2 plastic shopping bags to help protect it, and we kept it in the stroller hang bag on the one day we brought it with us to a park. It turned out great.

The only other suggestion I have is that you bring an ultra fine click top sharpie. It is much easier for the carachters to get the tip ready, and it also does not fade like a ball point or even typical felt tip can.
