Not sure this is the right place to post this. But, is the photopass worth it? And at what point DOES it become worth it to buy the CD? I mean, I can buy prints online at other places for as low as 19 cents a print so what makes the photopass prints worth it? I am a complete newbie to all of this so please bare with me. Do they do special things with the pics they take of you in the parks? Are any of the ride pictures on your photopass? Can you just have a CM take a pic of you at any point while in the parks?

TIA!

Unfortunatly, at this point the attraction photos aren't a part of PhotoPass. But, they are starting to work the system so they will be. So, hopefully, in the near future it will be doable. I would love that.
The PhotoPass shots are pretty decent ones. We really like the ones that they can add Tinkebelle, or Mickey or whatever into your cupped hands. Those are fun. We have also had some pretty good shots taken around the parks. There are CMs that will take photos using your own camera as well. Are they a good buy? It's up to each person to make that call. I usually buy about 4 of the 5x7's, and one or two 8x10's from each trip. I, also, get my photos printed for about .19 apiece, so if I can add the PhotoPass ones to a CD with my own shots, it might be worth it since I routinely spend about $70 on Photopass photos.

I pretty much never bother with the Photopass photos. On one trip, though, DD and I made an effort to have our pic taken *together* by the Photopass people as much as possible. By the time we were done, there were well over 100 good shots, so we looked into the CD. For $99, we got all of those 100+ pics plus the copies they had enhanced with signatures and such and the right to print them ourselves. It's not worth it unless you figure that you'd want to buy a bunch anyway - for us, it was probably a one-time splurge, but I'm glad we did it the once.

On the other hand, it costs nothing to have the pictures taken, so you can always check them out and decide not to buy any and not cost yourself a dime....... Ask them to take a pic with your own camera as well as their own and the only thing you'd miss out on is the embellishments.

As for the prints online for .19 cents, most won't do it if you don't have the copyright to the pictures that the Photo pass people take.

Yes your pictues will be .19 cents but using the Disney Photopass ensures everyone in your party is in the picture. During our trip last year, my DW was in one picture using our camera. This year I am not in any.

Using the photopass, you can also do borders and other things to make your pictures more unique. You have to go to one of the sites where you can do a photopass and you can see your pictures and modify them.

Sometimes they do special things and just ask them.

If you use, make sure to take lots of pictures. My DW didn't want to take any pictures and we had 5 by the end of the trip.

I plan on taking full advantage of the PhotoPass. Having the CM's take as many as humanly possible. This will be our first trip to the World. I also want to take my personal camera. I'm having a problem on which one would be best to take: Digital Camera or 35mm Camera. Digital is great but I would have to keep charging the batteries and buy a huge media card. 35mm how would I know if my pics are good or not? I'm begging for any advice and or help in this mattter.
