Photopass Q - converting hoppers to Select APs

We'll be going over New Year's with park hoppers and converting them to Signature APs at the end of our trip. I've searched the Photopass threads and haven't seen this addressed and was wondering...

Is there a way to get the ride/Photopass pics taken during the first part of our trip converted to our AP account where we can get them for free? Has anyone done this?

Yes, I did this last November. First day in the parks was Sunday, we converted over to AP's on Tuesday afternoon (we waited so we could take advantage of the Early Entry on Tuesday morning). I was able to add all my PP pictures I had taken Sunday-Tuesday including a character meal to my AP.

Not sure why you don't plan to convert until the very end of your trip, but be advised that the expiration date on the AP goes by the first date your park-hopper ticket was scanned NOT the day you upgrade to the AP. So for us that first day in the park was Sunday 11/15, so that is the expiration date of our AP's, NOT the day we upgraded, 11/17. So if you can upgrade sooner in the trip you may want to so that you can take advantage of all the discounts!

And for the rides, I suggest taking pictures of the screen so you have your ride photo code, but you can also add it to your account using the code via the DL app...then when you upgrade make sure to use the same email and link your AP's on the app and the watermark should disappear.

I'd imagine it's because the OP is upgrading the tickets to Signature and those are blocked out the last two weeks of the year when they're planning to go.

MommyLove, I got a Sig+ in late November and discovered pictures from Labor Day weekend (about 11 weeks between) showed up to download. I feel like I might have gotten even more if I had been more diligent about handing over my pass to get scanned.

You shouldn't have any issue getting pictures from your trip while you're on tickets especially since it'll be within your expiration date for your new AP you upgrade to a Sig.

Yep, we want to be able to go on days that the Signature AP is blocked out.
