Photopass + promo code?

OK, I know this has been covered to death, but I just want to be sure I understand.

If I order the Photopass + in advance, it comes with a a CD "promo code." Does that mean it includes the CD in the price, and I just have to use the code to order it? Or do I have to pay separately for the CD? I was assuming the promo code is just what I use to order the CD, but didn't want to be caught off guard with extra charges when I go to order.

I've never bothered to use Photopass in the past, mostly because I knew the WDW one is so much more expensive, so I didn't realize what a good value the DLR one is. Especially if it includes the CD!

TIA! You guys are the best, everyone is always so helpful!

Hi Kate,
Yes, the $69.95 price gets you everything ... the code to add a PhotoCD to your account, the voucher that can be exchanged for a PP+ card that can accept dining, ride, and regular PhotoPass photos (and get you hard copies of dining photos), and a Photo Gallery CD that's great for a screen saver. It's a great deal, and one of which I did not hesitate to take advantage. I have a feeling I would pay the $169.95 price for it at WDW if I were going for at least a week.

Awesome! I will have to order one for sure. I kept thinking that price was just too good to be true, but I guess not! I wouldn't normally do it, but we'll be wanting to get several ride photos this time around, so I think it will be worth it. Now if I can just convince DH that he doesn't need to lug around 4 different cameras... ;)

We always buy PhotoPass Photo CDs, and we take a point and shoot camera for video and an SLR for other pictures. You just can't count on a PhotoPass photographer to be there at the exact moment something magical happens.

Funny, that's exactly what DH says... ;)
I think we'll still take a point and shoot, I just don't want us to be lugging around and entire backpack of camera equipment on this trip. We're also going with my DMIL and DSIL, and they NEVER have a camera handy, meaning my poor DH ends up spending hours taking photos of everything they order up. So the Photopass + could be really nice for when DSIL decides she wants to go meet characters while the rest of us ride something.

Yankee, that might not be a bad idea!
