Has anyone done it? Can you tell me about the advantages of "PLUS" over the regular photopass CD?? I'm in a share with 2 other people; is it possible for me to upgrade to "plus" and have their pictures on the same CD??

Thanks for any help you can offer

Did it this past trip July & it is fantastic! Pre-oredered it for $169.95

My DD wanted to do the Pirates League for her birthday with her brother & 3 cousins. She turned 20, DS 23, 2 others 20 & the youngest turning 17 in Septmentber. They had a ball & we couldn't stop laughing. :lmao:

We received one printed picture for each of them done up as pirates or mermaids & lots of other pictures were put on the photopass. They went back for the parade at 4 & the photopass photographers took many more. It also includes the big ride picutres. All total we ended up with over 250 pictures

It also includes the big rides pictures and a cd with over 400 stock pictures. We definitely got our moneys worth. :thumbsup2

The photopass + portion is only good for 14 days from the day you first buy (or activate it since you can now pre-purchase). So, if you are participating in a share where all 3 of you are going in the same 14 days, then you can share it.

However, the photopass+ has to be present when you want to get ride photos, dining photos, etc. It would take a lot of arranging for a Photopass + share - are the other two people staying on property, when can you switch off on the PP+ card, that sort of thing.

I think it has to be preordered 14 days out, so the point is probably moot.

With only one plus card, I was thinking that we would do "plus" and the other 2 families would do what we originally agreed to: the regular photopass portion.

But with the preorder requirement, it's a non issue.

I'll definitely consider it next time though. Thanks for the info!

this is great to know!! I didn't know there was a mermaid package!! How fun! ( we might have to do this.....)

I'm so glad you reviewed your experience w/ Photopass+. I preordered for our trip in June 2013, (yes, I know.... it's early....) so it's really nice to hear how awesome it is!! :thumbsup2

Ah. That means the 3 of you would split the $119.95 portion of the regular pre-order price and you would pay the extra $50 for the upgrade. I think you still get the 30 days to claim and 30 days to edit so you'd have to do that too.

Right, except that I preordered before the increase, so it was only $99. The other 2 families would pay their $33, as we originally agreed. I would pay for the upgrade, and my husband and I would have the "+" card.

I think we'll ask about it in WDW. I know we'll end up buying the photos at the 2 meals, and at least one or two of the rides.

OK, one more question before we leave tomorrow:

How much are the photo packages at Chef Mickeys, Hoop de Do and the rides?

At the meAls, packages seem to be about $30. The ride photos were usually closer to $20. Just going by fuzzy memory.

Yep. We are going to the DLR with family friends and purchasing separate PhotoPass+ packages ($69.95 each), just so we can each have a Plus card. Before the Plus program, we had shared PhotoPass CD accounts with friends.
