Is it worth the $99?? I recently discovered that there is the photopass plus and wanted to pre-order but I'm leaving for DL next Wednesday. So I'm about 7-8 days from leaving and it says I need 14 days..

1 - Do I risk it and HOPE it comes in time?

2 - If not, is it "worth" (and I know worth is a relative term) the $99? We don't have any character meals planned but will do a few of the rides - probably not rides like Screamin or ToT because I have a young one and a hubby who can't take those rides.

Any opinions please.

Thanks!

I think so, because even if you ride only a few if the rides, if you take advantage of all the photographers roaming around, you will get those pics on your CD as well.

I've used it in the past even before they included the ride photos and character meals with it. Now it makes it even more worth it for us. I ordered mine on a Sunday and received it 3 days later on the Wednesday (we live in Richmond, BC, Canada). I was amazed at how quick it got here.

Order it today, you'll get it by Monday.

I ordered it on Friday, it is scheduled to be delivered this Wednesday. Mine says it is coming from GA - 2 day Air UPS.
Since preordering the photopass plus is the same price as a regular photopass (which looks like it cannot be preordered so you pay regular price), you really can't lose with the preorder- even if you don't do any character meals.

I ordered mine online last night for $69 why is there one for $99 is that if you get it at the park?

Ok, it seems from what I have been reading it doesn't take as long as the 14 days so I took the plunge and just ordered it. I hope it comes by next Wednesday mail. We leave Wed afternoon so I'll get my mail that day. That means it has 6 business days to get here! AACK!! I hope I did the right thing.. :faint:

I got mine in 3 days, so I think you will be fine! :thumbsup2

If you don't pre-order the PP+ but still want it when you get to the park, then you pay the $99.

I received an email this evening stating it has been shipped, which I'm sure that means it'll go out tomorrow. Here's hoping it makes it from wherever it is coming from by Wednesday!!!

Is there any reason NOT to preorder months ahead of time?
I figure if I ore order now, six months out I'll be sure to have avoided a price increase but I am not sure if you have to use the preorder within a time frame or any other rules

I ordered mine 7 months in advance, fearing a price increase and because I had a $75 Disney Gift Card in my wallet.

I am so confused! What is it that you are needing before you get to the parks? Is it just a voucher or something?

Yep, when you order it (fyi it took 2 days to get to me in WA) you get a packet in the mail. It includes the stock gallery CD, a voucher to order your CD after all your photos are done and a voucher to take into one of the photo shops (in DL or DCA) to exchange for a special photo pass plus card (that looks different then the regular photo pass card).

Hope that helps!

While most of you received your Photopass Plus in 3 days, I did not. I ordered mine on 8/21. The shipping status from UPS says estimated delivery would be 8/28 though it was too shipped by 2 days air. I live in CO. :confused3

I think I understand the concept of the Disneyland Photopass Plus but would like confirmation.

So with the package you don't have to pay for any of the pictures or you pay when ordering (within 30 days after your visit is over)?

I read that the attraction photos are $14.95 each but you get those FREE for most attractions and as many times as you want if you order this package? No extra costs for downloading or does the PhotoCD cost money too?

Are the picturess taken by a photopass employee free as well - meaning, you don't pay to download them.

I've used Photopass before and not had a lot of pictures taken, but during our visit this Christmas season I would take advantage of it more if this is a better deal than the standard package. I'm just not 100% on how it works.

Finally, since we're going at Christmas, when would I order it? A week before leaving on the trip?

Thanks for your help in understanding this.
