Photopass Plus ... how quickly did you receive yours?

Man, I somehow *just* figured out this whole Photopass+ thing and wanted to order, but we leave in 5 days (4 mail days) and we are in the midwest. No way we can take that chance. Is there any option to pick it up at the parks or something?

You can get it in the parks but I think that price $99.

I can understand how you would just figure it out. I read about it on Facebook but the people obviously knew what it was. I looked it up on Disney.com and couldn't figure it out. I think I just figured it out from this thread. If you preorder a photpass+ you get it $30 cheaper and it allows you to add your ride pictures. Do you automatically get to print those pics or do you still have to buy them?

With your preorder PP+, you will get a voucher to order a free PhotoCD containing all of your PP+ vacation photos taken by Disney's PP photographers, all ride photos, and all character dining photos from your linked PP online account. There is a limited license agreement included on the CD allowing you use of your pictures for non-commercial use. You'll be able to print your pictures yourself at home or have them printed from the PhotoCD at a retailer like Costco or Sam's Club. You can still order prints online from Disney, but it's usually more expensive.

Are the benefits the same if I just get one when we arrive? I don't want to take the chance and order before we leave, as with my luck it would arrive the day we leave. Is the only difference in pre-ordering the discounted price?

Just to clarify ... the voucher is not to order a free PhotoCD. It's to exchange for a PhotoPass+ (PP+) card. The voucher is taped to a DVD-type case, which contains a Gallery CD of stock photos and PhotoCD code. That PHotoCD code can be used to do you what you say above.

The differences between the regular PhotoPass and the PhotoPass+ is that the PP+ allows you to get hard copy dining photos and dining photos added to your PhotoPass account for no additional cost. Also, the PP+ card allows you to put ride photos on your PhotoPass account for no additional charge. As far as I know, without the PP+ card, you cannot add dining or ride photos to your PhotoPass account. You can buy the hard card photos at those places, but cannot apply them to your regular PhotoPass account.

Yes, they are the same. The only difference is the cost ... $30 (maybe plus tax, as I didn't pay tax for the pre-order).

Can someone tell me (I have emailed Disney 4 times over the past three weeks with this question and still no reply) does the PP+ have an expiry date. Can I buy it now and use it in July next year? :confused3

Good clarification... I've been using "e-vouchers" on the Internet for so long, I'd forgotten that "voucher" usually means an exchange of a physical document. After you break the seal on the Gallery CD, the code to order your PhotoCD is printed on the insert in the case.

A comment on the Gallery CD... many of the stock pictures are outdated, but still quite beautiful. Of course, there are no CL or BVS pictures yet.

There was a prevous post concerning this and there "is no expiration date."
