Photopass Pictures - Border Help!!

We did the Photopass CD & I went on & added all kinds of borders & effects that they offered, but now when I try & get my pictures printed, they all come out with the edges of the borders cut off. I tried Walgreens & Walmart & the same thing happened with both. With Walgreens, I even thought I could switch it from the 4x6 size to the "true digital" size, but it wouldn't let me do that.
Has anyone else run into this problem & how did you "fix" it? I'm thinking I could probably scan them into the Kodak PictureMaker machine at WalMart, but that's a lot more expensive than when Walgreens or Shutterfly are having deals.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated. TIA!! :worship:

We did the photopass thing our last trip and I went crazy adding all the borders too. I think the pictures on the disc are sized for 5 x 7. I had the same problem with the boarders for 4x6 prints. The true digital prints are made to accomadate a ratio of a TV or computer monitor. I always change my size to 3:2 so that they will fit 4x6 prints with out any cropping. Hope that helps.

If you are using Shutterfly, you can adjust your cropping so that the entire picture is printed and the border is not cut off.

Add your picture to the cart, then go to edit the picture and preview. At the top right there is a tool to "adjust cropping" and then select "Free" Crop". If you preview, you will see that you now have a white border around the entire picture and it will be smaller than the actual 4 x 6 print, but it won't cut off the border. You can do this with any size and it works pretty well.

Not that this will help you now, but if you get the photopass in the future, you have to save them as 4x6 first. Up near the top of the page where it says Product type, there is a drop down box which is set to 5x7. You can change this to 4x6 (I think it says order 2 4x6 prints) then save it. Then add borders/enhancements and Save as Copy. Then you will have the plain 4x6 as well as any with borders. I printed them right out at CVS.

Nice to see these tips -- had the same problem this summer. Thanks.
