Photopass opinions wanted

Taking DD6 for a surprise birthday trip in April. We got Photopass for our last trip (11/2016) and while I loved the pictures as well as not lugging around my camera, I found the photo resolution to be sub-par.

Anyone know if it's changed? Or if we just had a bad experience?

We went last year and found the photo quality to be good. Also they had pictures that they turned into a mkv file and it would snow or pirates would run across the pic. Plus we had one where my 5 yr old was pouting and I was able to put a sticker over his face so I could still print it with the rest of the family on there smiling.
