Photopass Limit Question

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many cards that can be uploaded to one account? I have 8 friends that want to share and want to make sure that's doable before I agree to it.

There is no limit. I read on the boards that an entire HS band shared the account and gave each kid a card.

no limit to the # of cards or photos -- was in a share a few years back and each family had multiple cards and ended up with 7 CDs full of pics

There is no limit, BUT and this is a big BUT, make sure you purchase the card ahead of the first person getting a single photo taken in order to get the $99 discounted Photopass CDs. If you (and the group) wait to purchase with the discounted code, you will end up paying $50 more than necessary.

It used to be you could wait until after a trip to purchase with the discounted code, but that is no longer the case. That loophole has been closed.

Just remember, only one account can be created, and all photos much be on the one account prior to ordering.

If you are in the parks together, you can share your pics on other cards. The photographer can scan multiple cards, usually about 8-10 before the session times out. Or you can go to the camera center and they can individually or all, transfer the pics to the other card. All this does in the system is attach your photo number to the card, but it can not delete it off the other card. (it can be done, but only by a moderator and some one with access to the program).

I was a photographer once in a blue moon. I got to take pictures of the Easter parade, with all the girls in their southern belle dresses, and the poodle ladies (they're kinda snarky too). There were group shots on the train station stairs, group shots backstage before the parade, as they came down main street. There were probably a good 75 photos total, maybe a hundred. I had to transfer all the pics onto 60 different photo pass cards, one for each person.
And I also had band directors buy a CD for the whole band of their pics coming down main street, along with all the other pics that the kids took on the trip. 1 CD shared among like 50 members.

So anything is possible. Just make sure you do it correctly.

FYI: If you do this and are sharing, the photo will show up 8-10 times on your photopass account. My sister and I each had our cards scanned for some group pics, then we shared a CD, so we had doubles of all those group photos. Just more to sort thru on the account.

I didn't realize that. Never did much online except share the photos. I know when you're in the camera center, the photo will only show up once no matter how many cards the picture is on.

You get a card from a photopass photographer after posing for first picture
you get it from photopass person
you can get more from any photopass person
when you enter card number online it will put all pictures on cards for numbers you have entered into that account or have all cards combined at one of photo centers in parks or dtd.

Are you in charge of the share? If not, then DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go online during your trip and open an account to view your pictures. Once the cards are added to one account, they can't be moved to another one. If you are in charge of the share, make sure you tell everyone else not to upload their cards to any other account besides yours.
