Photopass issues; any advice?

So after agonizing about the decision, we chose to get the photopass CD, and I edited photos until we had 121 (trying to make the best use of the CD). When we got the CD, there were only 105 photos. We lost all pictures from Epcot and one day's worth of Magic Kingdom photos. After e-mailing the photopass people, they state we only had 105 pictures in our account and they burned 105 and that is it. Well, I can clearly see in my head all those photos that are missing and I am heartbroken. Our Christmas card photo is among them. Does anyone have any advice for what I can do to try to recover photos or at least recoup some of my monetary loss. I feel like I shouldn't have to pay full price when so many photos (especially original, unedited photos) are missing.

You need to call them directly. They can get your name and the dates that you missing photos from and try to retrieve them. Look on the Resort Photo Board and there will be more info.

I found emailing to be better, b/c phoning them involves phone tag, where they don't have all the info from past contacts right there like if you email.

So email again, describe the pictures. Describe dates, times, outfits, parks. Ask them to look again. Since you edited them, you know you entered the photopass ID number on your account. They just have to keep looking.

The first time we used the Photopass most of our photos were lost. When we got to Epcot, the photographer in the very front, by the entrance area, took our card and put it in his pocket, took our photos, pulled the card, along with a few others, from his pocket. He looked scared. He said, "yes, it's this one". Well, it wasn't! I learned then to mark our photopass card with our name.

All the photos from that one card were gone. When we got home and I didn't see the photos, we emailed the Photopass folks. They asked that we complete a form asking about the missing photos, which park we were at, hair color, clothing for the day, ages of kids, etc. It only took a couple days and all our photos were found. I was amazed! (I knew the clothing from our home photos that we had taken).

This just happened to me. I was able to look on my video camera the exact time and what my girls were wearing adn they found my pictures with Daisy.

Photopass is generally very good about finding lost photos. We've had a few that never showed up, but that's typically because something went wrong long before the photos got to the photo center. (Broken camera/pda). My GF and I have purchased several photo cds and we are very happy with them... buying prints is way more expensive, and finding someone else to take decent photos of a party of 2 with our camera just becomes a pain. (Plus she loves the borders).

In the future, take a picture of the back of each of your photopass cards as soon as you use them, or at least write down the number. Then even if you lose the card, you've still got access to the pictures.

I agree. The really bad thing was that we had someone else's photos on our photopass, too (total strangers). I guess we weren't the only people to have the problem that day.
