We are planning on pre-ordering a PP+ card next year for our summer holiday, but I was wondering if they send they actual card in the post to the UK, or just a voucher to exchange.

We are staying at CRS, which isn't on the list of places to exchange. So it would mean taking the bus to DT when we arrived in order to get everything exchanged the night before we hit the parks.

I was hoping to just receive the actual card and lanyard in the post to save messing around.

:confused3

we received a voucher that we exchanged at the photo place in epcot.

Yes, have just got my PhotoPass+ pack through post and it just a voucher to exchange. We at Discovery Cove day after we arrive so plan to just chill out there then hit DTD about 6pm, exchange voucher for actual PhotoPass card and lanyard then have dinner somewhere... anyone happen to know if you can pick up WDW tickets there or not?? It says on the e-voucher to pick up from Will Call at any of the parks but someone said there's a place next to the Team Mickey shop??

For all pre-orders of the PP+ they only send a voucher. The card is activated when you collect it has it has a time limit on it.

There is a Photopass location in the same building as Guest Services at DTD Market Place. Otherwise all the parks have photo centres.

If there is no line in really only takes a minute to exchange. :thumbsup2

Regarding the lanyard, the one you get is a cord style one which fastens behind the neck with a plastic clip. I thought it was a bit flimsy and took my own 'proper' lanyard which I find more comfortable. If you want a traditional type of lanyard, order one for yourself on eBay here before you go. They cost under £5 delivered and you can find a great selection of Disney ones :)

We collect our card from DTD on arrival night. I don't know what time your flight is due into Orlando, but we always head for DTD for dinner and some Goofy's candy on our first night so it's no trouble to pick up the card then.

Thanks for the info!

I originally wanted to get the bus to DTD after arriving by DME at CSR to have dinner, get one of the drawstring backpacks with the date on (I've bought one the last 3 times I've been), and to get the kids' autograph books sorted. DH decided that as DD and DS are only young it would be best to have dinner at CSR and get an early night. Maybe now I can convince him otherwise ;)

Tracy, where about in the store do you collect it? Can you go to any of the registers or is there a specific desk you need to go to? Last year they posted the actual card to us.

here's what on the WDTC-UK faq

Where do I collect my Disney Gift Card?

If you have received a Disney Gift Card as part of our Free Dine promotion, you can collect this by visiting the World of Disney® store located in Downtown Disney during regular store hours (9:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m.) 7 days a week. You simply need to show your voucher (received with your travel documents) along with a valid Photo ID to the Information Desk within World of Disney and your Disney Gift Card will be issued to you.

Your Disney Gift Card can be redeemed at the World of Disney® store or other select retail locations at Downtown Disney® and in Parks and Resorts. You may collect your Disney Gift Card at any point during your stay. Pease see the Information Desk in the Parks for more details.

Photo pass + or the gift card?

I am assuming gift card - you need to go the information desk right at the back of the store near the Jewellery section :goodvibes

the one we got a few weeks ago was on a rope, without any clip at all...you just put it right over your head...
it was very sturdy...
so maybe they've changed it since you had it...
or maybe i was just lucky :)

We find we have an early morning if we have an early night.

We always go to DTD when we stay but we stay at SSR and only a quick walk. A nice earl of sandwich and a quick look round the shops before we head back to unpack and may be wander around the hotel.

We ordered PHOTOPASS + last week and paid $149 but I've seen loads of people talking about that they also paid international postage, the drop down menu said international postage but no cost, we arrive 20th Sept, do you think they will have the card at the check in as we're staying at a resort or will it arrive in post?

you will need to pay international postage ($15) when you order your CD once you're back from Florida
there is a discount code inside the DVD case you'll receive soon, don't lose it, it will allow you to order the CD for free (except for postage)

you will receive a voucher, taped onto the DVD case, in the mail. You'll need to take that voucher to DTD or any photo shop inside the parks to redeem that voucher and get your photopass+ card. You can't pick it up at your resort (unless it's a deluxe and there is a photopass kiosk and they offer the cards there, but I'm not sure if they do)

Thank you so much for answering my questions °o°

Unless they have changed it, you should still be able to collect the card at any resort where they have a Photopass Desk. I know there is one at the Poly and one at the GF. I think there is also one at either the Beach or Yacht Club, but these desks close around 5 pm so not always ideal for those coming in on UK flights
