Photopass downloads

My account states I have 994 photos. I have not made any edits yet. However, when I hit the download button, it states 866 photos.

Does anyone have any idea why the numbers do not match?

It would really be time consuming to try to figure out which photos were not included in the download. The DVD is starting to seem like the best option.

I've never checked the numbers but could the total include the stock photos but when you download, it doesn't?

Photopass sent out notices that their system will not be uploading and downloading very quickly due to Irma.

If you don't need to download yet, wait a few days until the photo system is back to normal and check your totals at that time.

I wouldn't bet my life on this, but I think it's the Disney extra bonus photos. I think you have to download those separately. It's difficult to verify right now as those photos aren't all showing up in their system, I'm sure due to Irma. Personally when I have a ton of photos I usually just spring for the CD to make sure I have a backup of everything.

I too believe it's the stock photos (there are lots of them!). Granted, it's been a couple of years since we had a large number of photos to download, but I vaguely remember a discrepancy in the numbers as well, and eventually figuring out that the difference was mostly the number of "extra" photos. If there are a few "magic shots" in your mix, those get counted a couple of times as well - the original plus the magic shot version(s).

It's all the bonus photos that WDW throws in with your actual photos, for some attractions, they add magic shots and there are even mp3 videos of some of the coaster rides too.

I think I will order the DVD. I just wanted to download the originals before I start fooling around with the borders. My tricky internet connection has led me to losing some originals while trying out the borders in the past.

I finally got photopass photos to load correctly. Yes, the difference is the Bonus Photos. There are 128 bonus photos.

OT, but it's such a shame they don't give any bonus photos with the Aulani PP
