PhotoPass Discount

I just called the customer service line for PhotoPass. I spoke with Mike. He said that I could order it anytime before my trip and if I get home from the trip and it is expired, just call them with the code in the confirmation email and they will fix it. This was as of 6/3/09 @ 1030.

So, I am going to preorder while I can use the 15% off code. I will put it on my DisneyVisa. :cool1: We always take lots of pics, but also use the PhotoPass photographers a lot as well. This will definitely be worth it for our trip.

Hmmm....I called (6/8/09) with the same question, but received a very different answer. I was told that it is recommended not to pre-order before 30 days out, and that if I ordered this far in advance (our trip is 12/3) that it would be highly unlikely that my promo code would be reactivated. I don't want to risk a big hassle and a bunch of stress. :headache:

If that is the case, I'll dispute the charge with Chase (I used my Disney Visa)... easy as pie. Chase won't have a problem denying payment for a service I clearly never received and an expiration date was never put on.

That is one of the perks of using a credit card!! :thumbsup2

I emailed the PhotoPass folks today, and this is their response in Orange, I am stillnot clear!!!!!!

Greetings Tracy,

Thank you for your recent visit to DisneyPhotoPass.com.

The pre-purchase offer is made available through the marketing department of Disney Destinations. In order to receive this prepurchase offer, the guest must meet the following guidelines:

-Have an upcoming reservation in a Walt Disney World Hotel

-Have their email address on file in the marketing database

-Have opted in to receive email from the Walt Disney World company

If you meet these requirements, you can expect to see this email about 10 days prior to your arrival. Once you have received this email, you are within a safe time frame in which to make your prepurchase without worry that your promotion code/s will expire.

If you do not receive this offer, it could be because your email address is not on file and/or permission was not granted to send marketing messages to you. Also, if you booked through a travel agent, we may not have your email address in our database. The pre-arrival offer is meant for guests who purchase before their trip.

In regards to accessing information off Stitch Kingdom or other sites, please note that these are not official Disney sites, and therefore the information listed there can not be guaranteed to be accurate. As for there being no information on our site about an expiration date on the promotion codes, it is because the Disney PhotoPass site does not offer the prepurchase offer, and we do not have any information on our site about it.

If you have lost your offer, we regret that we are not able to replace or extend this invitation as this offer is not sent out by Disney Photo Imaging.

Sincerely,

Deborah

Comments: Hello- I purchased a pre-order CD on May 25, 2009. I have an upcoming trip to Disney World on August 16-23. I have received two differnt stories regarding the purchase of the CD. I read on the Stitch Kingdom site that the cose expires in 60 days from purchase. I contacted the Photopass office and a Castmember told me that once my trip is over to contact the Photopass office and my Photopass ID will be reactiviated. I read again on the Dis Board that Photopass will not reactiviate Photopass IDs anymore. I called your office this morning and spoke with Conseula and she indicated that I needed to get a refund from Photopass and repurchase the Pre Purchase CD closer to my trip. On the Photopass site there is no mention that the code expires in 60 days, if so could you please tell where that is located on the Photopass site.
My finally question do I need to ask for a refund or do I need to call after me trip and have my Photopass ID reactivated. There are many people out there including myself that have pre purchased the CD and now we don't know what exactly to do.

I greatly appreciate any assistance you are able to provide.

Tracy

I do have an upcoming trip to Disney, I do have a confirmed reservation at the Pop Century. I receive promotions from Disney not sure if it is from Disney Destinations I assume so, I have received one or two emails from Disney.

I have received my Photopass Promotion Code, I received it on May 26,
2009 the day after I purchased my CD, but again my trip is not until August 16-23. Your email stated I would receive it 10 days prior to my trip. I have not activiated the code I just have it in a safe place.

Also you stated in the email I just received that " As for there being no information on our site about an expiration date on the promotion codes, it is because the Disney PhotoPass site does not offer the prepurchase offer, and we do not have any information on our site about it." When I purchased my CD I purchased it from www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx
If the above is not your site who does it belong too.

I would greatly appreciate any information you are able to provide, I guess I just need to know if my purchase is valid.

Thanks, Tracy

At this point I am still unclear if I made a valid purchase or not. If I need to seek a refund now or will my purchase be honored.

The codes used to expire after 6 months and sometime late last year it switched to 60 days. If you pre-ordered WAY in advance prior to the end of last year, it has no bearing on the way things are done now. A code ordered now will show as expired if you attempt to use it in Sept. You can work with Photopass to re-activate it and it may be quick and simple or it may be a hassle. Back when I needed to do it, it would have been quite a hassle because the only contact was via email, but I believe they have a phone # now, so it may be simpler. But, the code will be expired, so be sure to plan to try to order, see that it's expired, and then get it re-activated several days before pictures start expiring so that you don't lose out on any pictures. :hippie:

Why doesn't their website state it expires 60 days after purchase? Or the email confirmation they send out? That seems ridiculous!

Does anyone know if you can apply the Disney Reward from the Visa Card?

Denise in MI

I used my Disney reward points to pay for it...:thumbsup2

Also the trip I am using it for is in December.
I ordered 6 month in advance last year and had no problems getting it reactivated.
They probably would like to discourage people from doing it too far ahead
or not have people do it who shouldn't.
But I highly doubt they would not honor the purchase.
I plan on saying I purchased it for my July trip but decided to keep it for December.

I ordered the cd & book package. Hope there's no issues since I've already ordered. How would anyone know about expiration? This is the third year we are preording, and have never had any issues, but maybe we've just been lucky.

So, can anyone PLEASE help me by telling me where to go to preorder the CD? I checked disneyphotopass.com but cannot find anywhere it says to preorder! I need to use the code by today to preorder! HELP!!!! Thanks!

I just ordered my photopass CD. Thanks for the code and the reminder it was going up.

Post one has the code and post 17 has the link to pre-order! thanks for the info, I ordered mine today - order fast, i think it expires tonight ans that the price goes up tomorrow!

Hey, does anyone know if there's another code for 15% off of pre-ordering a Photopass CD? I was misinformed that the 9VISARD15 code expired on June 30th and now I see on this board that it expired on the 15th! UGGGHHHH!

Thanks for any help!
