I'm trying to order PP+ pre arrival offer for $149,when I get to checkout delivery is $14.95 is this for them to deliver box with code to redeem once I arrive?Do I need to pay another $15 to get CD with all photos on after I claim and edit them once home?
I have just phoned USA helpline, held for 40 mins to be cut off once I started talking to the person at the other end!AARRRGGGHHH
:confused3

I don't order the CD with the photos I just take the download option no postage to pay. That said I didn't get charged postage for my photo pass plus in the first place.

Delivery has been chargeable for international guests for several years now. If you want the CD you do pay for shipping. You can, as the previous poster suggested, opt for the download but you need to check that you don't have too many images for this option as there is a limit to it. The delivery charge covers an unlimited number of CDs so if you have lots of photos and they come on more than one, it is all included in this charge. We have had our pics spread over as many as 7 CDs and it was all covered by the one shipping charge (used to be $11 or so and went up a little over a year ago). They also keep the customs declaration value quite low so that you don't pay any further charges when it arrives in the UK.

This is a new charge - they never used to charge on the pre-orders

Now you are going to have to pay $15 on pre-order and if you want the CD after another $15.

Might email Disney over the weekend to complain :rolleyes1

Oh really? :eek:Apologies to the OP as I completely misinterpreted that then!

So is it $30 extra for international guests then? I suppose I can live with it in that the pre purchase last year was $169 plus the delivery charge, but as you say, that's a little unfair if you are charged twice. Or are they simply charging the delivery upfront when you pre purchase so you pay nothing when you do the final check out? Sorry, I'm confused

Is this pre order initial charge only for international guests?

It appears so Lee. I just did a dummy order and when I put my home address in an automatic shipping charge of $14.95 was added. When I put in a US address I could select an ordinary delivery time with a zero charge.

I just don't remember if I paid a delivery charge last year for the initial CD that the voucher came in :confused3

I know for certain that I have never paid delivery up until I actually ordered the CD. What I am trying to figure out is whether they have changed this so that you pay for shipping at the pre order stage instead of when you place the order - or whether this is as well as. I can see it making sense paying for the pre order and delivery all in one upfront so that you've paid for the full package with no further charges. It does not make sense to me that you pay for it .... twice :confused3 For the sake of clarity, I am not questioning what anyone is saying here. I just don't understand it

I haven't ordered my cd yet as we have some character breakfast pics missing. I contacted Disney yesterday but haven't had a reply yet. These were from Chef Mickey's, Ohana, and Akershus. Also at Chef Mickey's the photo lady brought a printed photo booklet with recipes in and charged us $30+ so we paid, am I righ in thinking this should have been included in the photopass+ ? I've mentioned this to Disney too but doubt we can do anything about it. I just hope we can have the 3 lots of pics added onto my account, we gave the photographers the photopass+ card each time. :confused3

At Chef Mickeys did you show her the red PP+ card? If so she shouldn't have charges you. If would email them for a refund!

You should get your photos added no problem - however if you still have the receipt that came with the pack you can enter the number off of that and it will print them up. The code usually start EVNT.

I am going to try to phone this afternoon and get some clarity on this. I don't understand why they can't e-mail a printable voucher to be redeemed at a photopass centre on arrival and put the cd with all their park shots etc in along with the cd you order afterwards?will post response.x

Chef Mivkeys is on list for photopass.think your supposed to show them PP+card at time though.

Well, after reading the terms and conditions on this page it looks like we will be paying twice.

I would copy and paste but my iPad doesn't like it but it says the promotional code in the pack includes standard domestic shipping and additional charges will apply for international shipping.

Now I realise its only an extra $15 however I don't like the fact that you used to pay once now you will have to pay twice.

Yes it should have been free at Chef Mickeys!
We did this meal before we had collected our photo pass so when the package came around dh and I thought we had to pay for it,
I explained that we had Pp+ and she asked for the voucher and went away and did it for us, :)

I would imagine if you explained this to Disney that you paid they would more then likely refund you.

Thanks Tracy. I followed your link but it took me to the main home page. Nonetheless, I have emailed them and asked them about it, expressing my view that I am willing to pay but if I am being charged twice for shipping I'm not going too be very happy about it and rethinking my pre order.

I do suspect that they have changed it so that you pay upfront but have not corrected the terms about paying at the check out, hence the double payment. I have no doubt that it would be processed twice if it is not pointed out so if it is indeed an error on their part, then hopefully the alert to them will have this rectified and save some folk being double billed for it. If not ..... well I shall be letting them know that I am not happy lol. I did say that $30 for shipping a CD is a bit steep. A friend of mine in the US recently mailed me a disc and it only cost a few dollars so we shall see and I will post the response when they get back to me

well, it's a new charge because it's a new product.

There wasn't a "shipping" charge for preorders before, because what you preordered was merely a "credit" that was applied to your account.

So there was no shipping charge since there was no physical item sent to you

with photopass+ things have changed because they send you a bonus DVD with stock photographs, along with the voucher and the promo code to order the actual photoCD

the initial $15 are charged for international shipping of the "photopass+ product", which includes a bonus photo CD, voucher and promo code

then, if you have more than 700 photos (and thus can't download) you need to pay $15 for international shipping of the CD containing your holiday photos.

It's a new charge because it's a new product. Of course most of us could do without the bonus DVD and settle for a print at home voucher. But that's how it's done with photopass+

They didn't add a charge, they added an item (the bonus DVD), and they charge for shipping because we're foreign. Domestic guests receive it for free. So this is not a new charge at all because those first $15 are a FedEx charge, not a Disney charge.

So I just phoned and yes you will have to pay TWICE for international shipping!
First shipping charge is for gallery disc and voucher.
Second is for cd with the photos you claim.

There is an exception to this:-

I was told that as I had booked a package Including Disney resort hotel, tickets and dining I could phone and have it added to my reservation and my package will be there on arrival at YC without paying international shipping.(she put me through and system is down fir maintenance but the girl said I can phone back later and add it).

Although I want CD if you don't mind downloading you can add all the borders etc after you get home then download for free.

So theoretically you could end up paying no shipping.

Good news for me but if your not staying onsite with package you will have to pay First shipping charge and also second if you don't download.

EDIT. Delivery to resort for arrival can only be done if you booked direct with Walt Disney not via travel agent even if it is a package.they said to phone VIrgin and they should be able to add but I really can't be bothered its too much hassle.
Tempted to get Universal equivalent and its so cheap compared to Disney.

I understand what you are saying and it makes sense, but before the new website you still got the PP+ Gallery CD and voucher shipped here and there was no charge for that. I ordered it last year and the gallery CD was sent for free and I paid to order the CD so it is a new charge the way I see it.

Thank you for phone and reporting back. :thumbsup2 I will be doing this then and getting it added to the reservation. I prefer to collect my things (as many as possible) at check in rather than have to remember to pack them. Each such item is one less to leave behind! I don't mind paying for the final product to be shipped because we usually have so many photos they come on several discs so I don't think the shipping price is bad for what we get.

I would have agreed with you except that I have twice pre-order the PP+ and had shipped to me free - most recently in June.

Each time I have had a Gallery CD sent with my voucher.

The $15 is a Disney charge - Fed Ex aren't billing me and its up to Disney if they cover the cost or not.

As we have friends who live in Orlando so I might ask if I can have my pre-order shipped to them. I am not paying twice and we haven't got a package booked this time so it might be my best option ;)
