Any experiences with the Photopass CD? Is it worth it? Are the lines for the pics unbearable and not worth the wait? Any suggestions, etc are greatly appreciated....
We love PhotoPass!!! Some posters have mentioned the lack of photogs in the park lately, but I haven't noticed it in our three trips during the last year. We always end up with, at the very least, 250 pictures (not including edits, borders, etc.). The only time we waited in line was during the Spectacle of Dancing Lights, MVMCP and in front of the hat on an MGM EMH night.
I think it is totally worth it . We take a lot of pictures (according to my husband and kids.. I take way too many)... but what I loved the most about photopass... we were ALL in the pictures! It was so nice to see all of us on vacation! They took fantastic pictures of the kids with the characters. I got my pictures, but they got some great ones also.
You are spending thousands on a vacation. Get the photopass and enjoy. Totally worth it. I mean, really? How could extra pictures be a bad thing?
I just got back and would highly recommend it. Just make sure you take advanatge of all the photopass photographers. We walked through the parks and several times just saw them standing around. They were very patient with my Granddaughter and posed her in some neat shots. It was neat to get all 3 of us together.
Isn't there a way to purchase the Photopass in advance? Sorry to leap on your thread, but I was thinking about getting it for our trip next month. I thought I read somewhere that it's cheaper to buy it before you go. Is there a link somewhere? Thanks!
We love Photopass as well and always prepurchase the CD. It gets some mixed reviews, but we've always found it well worth the money.
And I have yet to see any PP photographer with more than maybe 3 families waiting for a photo. And that's the most I've ever seen - usually we find them standing around waiting for someone to ask for a photo.
We have pre-ordered the cd for the last 3 trips (including the one we came home from yesterday) and very glad we did. We've got some fantastic pics! The waterpark pics are a trip and worth the money for the cd alone!
My favorite thing about Photo Pass is I was able to stand and watch my daughter interact with the characters. I wasn't busy trying to get pictures of her talking to them. The photographers did a great job snapping away as well as posing her for some of the best pictures. I always miss the best photo ops because I am so into listening and watching others or I miss out on the interaction because I am trying to take the darn pictures! Definately worth it and will do it again...pre order and save the extra $$$

Unfortunately, that's not always the case. Some photographers will have no lines, but those at the most popular spots like the Partners statue and the Epcot entrance plaza often have 5-10 minute waits.
But even if a photographer has a few people waiting, PhotoPass is still a great addition to WDWs services.
