Photopass CD

It costs $99 and is available for purchase at the photocenters at WDW. Their sign says not available online.

We purchased the CD on our last trip in June of this year. We loved it. They download all the pics that you put on your Photopass on to a CD and then you can just about do what you want with them when you get them home. You can develope all you want from the CD rather than buy the pics online and pay alot more for them. We found it well worth the $99. That's if you have enough pictures on the CD. We had 106 pics on there.

Thanks for the info!

Can we view the photos on a computer at the parks?
Do they have the posed holding tink or simba pix?
Is there an info web site? My DH wants to read more about it. :surfweb:

Thanks so much, I want to organize as much as I can before we arrive!

Thanks for the info. I was so mad we didn't buy the cd on our last trip

Try this https://disneyphotopass.go.com

I did this for our trip in Sept. I placed all my photopass cards on and then ordered the CD from home. I also ordered the Disney Photopass Movie which I found on the PhotoPass website.

THANKYOU EVERYONE for the info! This is great!
Does anyone wait at the park for pictures anymore? It will be nice to have more time to play! Do the photographers tell you if its not a photopass photo?

So can you get pictures at the park if you want?
Can you just take the CD to say Walmart and get some printed there?
I would like to use some for Christmas gifts if they turn out well. Thanks.

Do you have to be staying at a resort to have the photopass option
No, it is for anyone and everyone who wants to use it.

Yes, you can view your pics there and buy prints from them.

Yes, once you buy the CD you also own the copyrights. The pics are yours to print whereever you like. I *think* the only restriction is using the pics for commercial purposes.

Is it acceptable to hunt down photographers if you know you're going to buy the cd? Or ask for additional shots? From viewing other threads, you can apparently put up to 300 pictures on the disc...

As we were leaving AK we stopped and asked three different PhotoPass phographers to take our photos. Two were only about 30-40 yards apart. But the different angles and distance from the Tree of Life gave us different pictures. I don't see a problem in stopping and having several different photographers take your pics. As mentioned elsewhere some photographers take better photos than others.

Thanks for the response Disney Dad.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I'm a Disney Dad from Harrisburg...I might have to track you down for some advice if you drive to Disney!

Actually we fly from HIA. A lot of PA people on these boards though. I'm sure if you have a specific driving question, post a new thread and someone may be able to help.

I think they will EXPECT you to hunt them down if you are going to buy the CD. I didnt decide to buy the CD until we had only about 3 or 4 days left, but those last few days I waited in line to get our photos taken. A CM also said they are going to start incorporating the photopass at the rides that take pics, the only one that I know of with the capability so far is test track...got the pic to prove it :) A couple of hints if you are planning on getting the CD.

1. Get a photopass card from the first photographer you see, then hold on to it and give it to each photographer that takes your picture, they will all be linked to that card and that way you only have 1 card and 1 number to keep track of. (I would also write down the number somewhere safe in case the card gets lost)

2. I would go ahead and wait till you get home to order it, some of our photo's(test track and others) didnt show up until we had been home for like 4 days so if I had bought it on the last night as I had planned, we would have missed some pictures.

I always thought of the photographers as kind of pesky, but now they are just another way of capturing some magic, and 99 bucks can capture alot of magic on a CD! And they do include the copyright ownership once you buy it so you can print them out wherever.

We have used this service and purchased the CD, was very pleased with the pictures. Make sure you keep your receipt and copy rights release statement, you may be asked for it when you go to print them at a local printing service.
