I was reading that the CD costs ~$100, my question is there are 3 households going on this next trip of ours. Do we have to spend $100 EACH or can we buy one CD and make 2 copies at home? Has anyone tried copying their CD? Also last time I got a photopass (last october) we ended up with only about 10 photos on it. Obviously $100 for 10 photos is a dumb thing to do but are the prices any different if you and 10 or 110 photos? I doubt it but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I know the price of the CD is the same no matter how many pictures are on it.

I'm sorry but I don't know if it would be possible to make copies of the cd at home. If my DH were here, he would know, but I am not computer savvy at all. Sorry.

I downloaded our photopass cd to the computer when we got home. I just tried to see if I could copy the pics to another cd and it worked. Not a problem at all.

My sister will get a card when she goes in Sept. and because I'm going within 30 days, we've been told on this board we can put both our cards on the Photopass CD when we order it and split the cost. That's something to remember in case you're not together all the time. Apparently you can use up to 4 photopass numbers. Good Luck!

I had no problem making a copy of the cd after I got. we had 100 pictures

You can take these CD's to a stores (like Wal-mart) digital machine and make copies correct?

I think I read a post here and said that they can download your own pictures from your digital camera and put it in the CD.

And they can make the extra copies for $19.95 each.

Copies as in prints yes I did this and never had a word said to me outside of have a nice day.

We downloaded and made several copies of our own once we got home- No problem at all.

Actually, my soon to be MIL tried to use the origional (with the Disney design on it) at Walmart (or someplace like that) to print out copies, and the girl at the counter wouldn't do it because it said Disney on it, claiming it was copyright infringement or something. :lmao: :lmao: Soon to be MIL called me right away, panicked, but I told her "That's exactly what we paid the $100 for!". We ended up just making her another copy of it (with no designs, obviously), so the issue wouldn't come up again!

Now I never had issues with my disney design CD. I used self serve kodisk so walmart employee never saw cd and if they had said a thing I had release with me.

From what we were told back in January, it can hold over 300 photos so be sure to take lots of poses & get your money's worth! You can always ask another photog in the same area to set up another shot. We did that because everyone's "eye" is different and you might end up liking one shot over another.

You own full rights to the photos on the CD. You can use and share them however you like.

I think you could have forced the issue on this had you shown the release to them (or asked to speak with a manager.) On current CDs, though, it won't be an issue. They don't download the autographs or add-ins onto the CD any more. Just the raw pictures. If you want the autographs, logos, or characters, you have to purchase a printed picture. (Of course, with a little photoshop savy, you can add your own when you get home.)

They can transfer the pictures from your digital media onto a CD for a price per card. They also have the DVD photo scrapbook where you can combine your own uploaded pictures with PhotoPass pictures. (This is done online when you get home.)

I don't think they'll put your digital pictures and the PhotoPass pictures onto the $99 CD, though. I believe that's strictly the PhotoPass pictures.
