Photopass CD pre-purchase discount has gone

Is there a secret to this?

Only reason I can think of is our Annual passes were bought by a cast member friend to get a discount, maybe we are somehow on the system as being from US because of that.:confused3

Well, after my grouching about no pin codes, I just thought I would let you know that the same day I asked you about it, I happened to get an email ... with a pin code! :woohoo:

Dates are no good to me, but still, if you get one, there are others sure to follow. Hopefully that means I will be in line for a photopass pre-order code??? Or is that something totally separate (the one sent to me was for accommodation). Anyway, I am happy now! I just have this thing about REALLY not liking being left out of anything ... especially good deals! ;)

Wish that would happen to me!! LOL

I'm just wondering, just read the article on Stitch Kingdom, will this also be sent to people who book on the UK site?? Just as, as far as I'm aware, Photopass isn't really that "highlighted" on the UK side of things so I don't know if they'd bother sending a pre-order code to those who've booked on the UK site?

Maybe Mickey reads the boards and thought he should send you one.:goodvibes

Even if you don't get the email code you can still contact photopass to get the $50 discount.

Well whoever it was, I LOVE THEM!!!

Elise79, did you just call them up? Disney UK knows very little about the photopass. In fact, they usually know less than I do so it obviously isn't promoted through them. Are you happy to share with us how you contacted them, email/phone? I'll bet everyone on this thread will be your best friend:grouphug: if you are willing to share this with us :flower3:.....

I haven't done it myself yet and am only going on what I have read on the theme parks board and Stitch Kingdom.

You only need to call them if you are close to your trip (less than 14 days) and have not had your code.

You can call Photopass on 001-407-560-4300 - it is a seperate enterity to the Travel Company hence why the UK agents don't know much about it.

Whether UK bookings will get the email we are yet to see. You will need your US reservation number if you call.

Thanks. I did make sure I got my US reservation no. as soon as I booked. It helps to have it for things like online ADRs and I also requested a specific building at our resort and called Disney US directly and was able to give them my ressie no. The UK one is in a different format and confuses them completely. Actually, I think it is rendered useless unless used through the UK call centre! (Just in case anyone reading this finds the info helpful) :)

Does anyone know about getting offered it if you have booked through a TA?

I read earlier that the only people who will get the email code are those that booked through disney.com or phoned CR. Those that booked through a travel agent (including disney.co.uk I assume as they are classed as TA by Disney!) and those booking through DVC (!!!) will not be getting the discount.

Once again it looks like Disney are excluding UK travellers and DVC members who have already spent a fortune to stay on site.:sad2:

Its correct they will not get an email but they are not excluded from the offer/discount if this info is correct.
Those who booked through a Travel Agent or DVC Member Services must speak to a Disney's PhotoPass representative by calling 407-560-4300 and mention they have an upcoming reservation for which they will not receive the email
