DH says he is not paying $98 for the photopass card. I am really thinking of purchasing it this year. :bride: princess: DD's will be at BBB and I was thinking of seeing if I could get pics at World of Memories since we are doing the middle package and lots of PP say they have been able to. Also, it would be nice to have a good one in front of the castle. We did not buy any last year and I have the free one at Mt. Everest.(from the game) What do you do? Does your DH give you a hard time? Is he as tight as mine? Just wondering if it is really worth it. Thanks.

I wouldn't pay the $98 unless I had used the photopass a lot and had lots of good pictures on it. You can still just buy the pictures individually (at a premium price) that might end up saving you money if you only wanted a couple of specific shots. We just usually get the photographers or another guest to snap a picture w/ our camera at the same time. We've got better ones by doing that lately.

I am probably in agreement with DH (sorry!). We did get a photopass card which is free. We also got a free photo for going to the Disney Visa card meet and greet session. This is when we got the photopass card and got hooked. Well, we had maybe 30 photos total after our trip. I couldn't help but buy I think 3 photos. They were very expensive, I think $12.95 per photo. It still beats paying $98 though. I will bring it again this next trip with the thought of getting another free photo at the Disney visa session plus I might allow myself to purchase 1 or 2 (or 3 max!) good photos if there are any from our next trip. I am keeping them in an album.

For us, purchasing the CD was worth it. On our last day at Disney, while we were reviewing our Photopass pics in Toontown, DH told me we could buy the CD & also said, "I know you want some pics. right now, so why don't you pick out 3 & we'll have 5X7s made". I picked out 3 that I loved, we added borders, signatures, etc. & the lady printed those up.

We have about 70 pics on the CD & it has been so handy to have at home. Whenever I need a picture printed, we can just hop over to the computer & do it. (We have all the printing hardware at home to do this & DH bought high-quality paper to print them on).

**If you will be scrapbooking your trip, you may want to have the CD if you got a lot of good pictures on it.

i think that the photopass it good value it like £55 in sterling, u can have upto 300 photos on them and allowed to re-print them.

thou we probably would do it as we never use it, we never have our pics taken by them, maybe once but thats it.

They didn't have the CD yet when we went last year, but we had several pictures taken on the photopass card. We didn't reveiw them at all until we got home, and they just happened to have a 40% off special going if you ordered by a certain date. I don't know how often they do that, but even if you decide not to buy the cd, you could still use a photopass card and then check for specials once you get home just in case. I think we'll probably go ahead and get the cd next time so I don't have to choose just my absolute favorites.

We got the CD.
Especially for all the BBB pictures. I told the photopass photographer at the botique that I'd like lots of pictures because I planned on buying it and she obliged. We then went over to the photo place near guest relations and had more photos done..... several poses with different props. We would have easily spent the $99 on prints of only a few individual photos.

You're DD is totally adorable!!!
I wish my DD11 was still young enough to go to BBB.

Another vote for the Photopass CD! We had 150 pictures on ours so it was totally worth it! If not for the CD there would be no evidence that I was actually on our trip!

We got the most pictures taken at the Character Connections pavilion at EPCOT - there were so few people there that we had the kids go through and see all the characters together and then we went through as a family so we have a ton of pictures there!

Also DD had the middle package at the BBB and they sent her over for pictures and the photographer took a ton of them of her!

My DH is among the cheapest ever and he felt it was a good value even! I'd say get the card and have them take the pictures, which doesn't cost a thing, and then decide at the end of the trip what value there is in it for your family. Couldn't resist posting some pictures from our CD!

Have a great trip!

I don't want to hijack the thread but you mentioned the Characters Connection pavillion at Epcot.... where is this???? I've done so much reading and I've never heard of it... DS would LOVE this! Is it like the Toontown Hall of Fame at MK?? Which characters are there?? And are the photopass people always there? What about other character areas?? Sorry so many questions... I've been debating about getting this and havent even told DH (he's a bit of a tightwad :rolleyes1 ) but if the photopass people are at the character areas, it'll definitely be worth it.

The Character Connection is in Epcot, right across from Innoventions West.
Photopass Photographers are there. You go into a large room & just go from one area to the next. (Toontown has 3 separate lines, the Character Connection is just one). There are about a half dozen areas where you stop & get your pic taken. It's great! Everytime we've been there, there has never been a line.

I bought it in May and it actually saved me money. When I go to Disney it is usually just DD and me. I hunt down the photographers every where so I can get pics of the 2 of us. Plus we met up with some friends and had all the kids pics done and my DD went to BBB and the photographer took lots of pics. She also had them done at World of Memories.

When we went in December I bought 10 pictures and that adds up, oh and when we went in October I bought like 15 pictures..UGH I went broke buying them.

I needed a lot of pictures since I scrap...

Is the photopass the one included with the vacation your way deal? Or is this something different?

When we went in January, purchasing the CD was relatively new, but thanks to the Disboards I was prepares. We were there for 7 days and had 168 pictures on the CD. It was well worth it to me because of the number of pictures we took. Plus, I was actually in the pictures!!! This is new to me because I am always taking the pictures. We had some great family photos and DH and I even had our picture taken without the kids! I don't remember the last time that happened. I really recommend it if you have a lot of pictures taken!

The Photopass idea is one of Disney's better ideas! We purchased ours with 66 pictures on it. If we had purchased just half of them, 5x7 at $12/pic, you do the math. The CD is a great cost saver at $98.

We bought the CD in May and thought it was worth it. If you don't go to a lot of character meet and greet areas then you probably won't get enough pictures to make it worthwhile. Typically the characters we met on the streets did not have photopass photographers with them. On Sunday MK was open for evening extra magic hours and there were characters everywhere with photopass photographers with them!

My DH was very dedicated to making sure he had our card handy and always gave it to the photographer. It was a big deal because I was trying to video tape and he was trying to get the boys' autograph books out and take a few pictures with our camera - all within a minute!

We ended up with 175 pictures on our photopass and we were there for 8 days. :thumbsup2

Plus I agree with the other poster that said without the photopass pictures, there would be no proof that I was on the trip!! Our extended family all commented on how many great family pictures we ended up with.

Yes i am soo disapointed that in jan 2005 they didnt do the cd.. I would have bought it, i bought maybe 6 or so 5by7 and it was around 68 bucks .. I was actually in the pics which is very unusal ..And when we go in 2008 i am gonna hunt down as many people to take as many pics so it is worth the cd...

I Absolutely Think So, 68 Pics For A Great Price Had I Knew About It In Advance I'd Had Many Many More Taken Then I Got Home And Purchased The Photomovie Too!!!!

We plan on buying it in August when we go. My brother, sil and 2 nieces will be there at the same time.

I talked to sil about it and she wasn't interested. My brother surprised me by saying he wanted it since we wouldn't all be together again there for a long time.

My dds had been there in 2000 with my sisters and my brother's family but dh and I haven't been there with them before. My nieces are now 20 and 22 so they will be busy with their own lives.

I would have gotten it anyway but now we will split the cost.
