I’m looking to prepurchase the photo package. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on print all or USB all. They're the same price. Trying to decide which to get. Thanks!

For me, the easy question to ask is do you do paper pictures at home? I prefer digital instead of wasting all the photo paper to print pics I may not want. I can crop, edit, post, etc with digital. I also don’t have to worry about bending or damaging a big envelope full of printed pictures on the way home. For pics you do want hard copies of, there are plenty if inexpensive options out there once you get home. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I think the USB makes more sense. I didn’t think about the photos that I may not want.

Do they actually put them on a USB or are they downloaded to my phone?

I think our cruise last year was just a link to the pics and I downloaded them from there - but I’m not 100% sure. I’m sure someone who has cruised more recently can answer. I know it used to be usb drives, but I think they transitioned away from those.

They still give you a usb at the end of the cruise, but by using the kiosks you can send photos to your phone during the cruise.

USB and then I've uploaded them to Shutterfly - lots of great family memorabilia planned for Christmas!

We always prefer the prints. My wife likes to get an SD card for each day and can fill it up with tons of pics to edit and print at home separate from the photo package.

I seem to recall that only the Dream offers prints any more; the others are USB only.

I assume the digital photos are jpg and not RAW format. What size are they? Meaning can I make them large without losing to much fidelity?

Yes, they are .jpg.

Filesize is about 2MB and resolution is 2400x1800 (for the horizontal one I'm looking at)..another is 2100x2625 (vertical) and 4MB.

Thanks so much everyone! I think I’ll just go with the USB and then print what I want when I get home.

One warning about the USB. Make sure you check the images before you get off the ship. DCL has been known to give families the photos of other families and they don’t figure it out until they get home.

Would agree with the majority and go digital. Then you can decide what you want to do with them - for instance do a collage with shots from your own camera. Or just get some 8x10s printed, which are pretty inexpensive nowadays.
