Im putting some pliminary DFTW plans together for 2013 but need to know what kind of budget I need. I looked at the budgets but all the weddings seem a lot bigger than mine so cant really use them to compare. Also I only want the CD of images and no prints.

It seems most people use a 2nd photography company not just the disney one in escape weddings.... photos are really important to me so im considering doing this too. I was thinking Vicki and David Arndt, Mistey Motto or Randy Chapman.

How much do you think I will need to save for photography of the ceremony and some photos after of myself the other half and 4 guests (both sets of parents)? Oh and a engagement session at the boardwalk next year?

Also if I bought the MK shoot, Epcot shoot and a DP shoot could I get all of the photos on one CD? or would I have to pay for 3 ? - I have no intrest in the prints as im from the UK and dont need the extra luggage!

Finally .... I think my family at home would like to see the ceremony so I am thinking of using a videographer just for the ceremony - any ideas roughly how much that would cost.

thanks

As a UK bride you will receive a free disc of your Disney photographs. We had our MK and our wedding day photographs given to us on one disc.

We had Randy for 4 hours and he charged us $750, we got lots of prints, 5 discs and he even threw in an album for us :cutie:

I'm not too sure of video prices but I know that Randy and STVS have a partnership, if you book one you get a discount on the other. Similarly, depending on the package you book some couples get engagement sessions thrown in with the price. The best thing you can do is email the photographers you're interested in stating that you're looking for a rough idea of price for X hours on your wedding day, an engagement session and a video of the ceremony (or live web cam).

HTH's!

Unfortunately there are now no special allowances for overseas couples. You get the same low-res disc as all other couples and have to pay to upgrade to one of the packages that include a high-res CD - these start at $800.

We have just booked Randy Chapman and STVS and for both for an Escape package it was $975.

I have the Escape upgrades document which includes all the upgrades and costs for photography and other items, if you send me your email address I can send it to you :)

Really? Gosh things are always changing so fast at Disney, I only got married late November 2010! So no disc for the MK shoot either just the album?

In all honesty I think everyone should be given the disc as part of the package and sold the album/bigger prints. I appreciate Disney are a business and they do it so they can make more money but in today's online age, 9/10 people want to put their pictures online, edit them, print off copies for friends/family. It's extortionate to ask people to pay $750 for a disc. Sorry, rant over.

Sorry for giving you the wrong information there clarabella.

It's really rubbish - especially as when we first looked they were offering it but we had to wait for the escape timeline and when we came to book they had changed it :(

No worries Nicola - its a huge change very fast with little advertising to say it changed. I'm starting to think that whatever budget I figure out now will be totally useless by 2013!!

Now you see why so many people use an outside photographer :rotfl:

Have received your PM and am sending the document now :)

Well with Randy shooting your wedding you'll most certainly have far more pictures than you'll know what to do with! :goodvibes

At least you'll have an estimate. Fingers crossed the prices won't increase too much by 2013!
