do any packages offered through disney allow you to buy a cd with all your pictures on?

Do the outside vendors allow you to buys a cd with all your pictures on (like Randy or other well used photographers?)

i would be interested to know about this one. as one of the reasons i was put off of a disney photographer was that i wasn't positive about what rights we would have over the photos

With Disney you can buy a CD with the rights. It is very expensive, but you can do it. With Randy and Misty, the CD with the rights comes with most packages.

When i figured in what the CD would cost at Disney, and I looked at the cost for Misty, it was about the same amount of money and I think the quality of outside photogs is better.

I am not sure of the price for the CD thru Disney- I think it canged recently.

All of the photographers (including Disney) allow you to purchase a CD with all your photos on them. The key difference is price. Disney is more expensive and that is one of the reasons many brides on this forum choose to use non-Disney photographers. I believe many (if not all) of the non-Disney photographers do include the CD (with copyright) in most of their packages.

Disney photography continues to change and update their packages, but the latest information I can find doesn't show a hi-resolution CD included in any of the packages. some packages do include a "standard resolution" CD but you would most likely not have the copyright and would only be able to print small prints. You can always confirm the package options with Disney Photography. Their cost for the CD is $1000 at the time of the wedding and the cost is reduced after three years. You may also be able to get a slight discount if you pre-purchase the CD.

Generally speaking, if the photographer gives you a CD he has also given you a copyright release, however you should confirm that with your photographer. For Disney, the copyright is included with the purchase of the hi-resolution CD.
